Caretta Paradise Resort & WaterPark

we visited caretta paridose for 7 days hotel was beautiful beach was 5 minute walk great pools and waterslides all inclusive bars do not serve beer apart from 1 local option, cocktails aren’t great some workers were hit or miss, telephone in room did not work, have to pay for safe in room and have to pay to get an iron, mice in room had to get moved after asking twice, night time entertainment was very entertaining bingo was good, lots of fun activities for children including , bouncy castles, arcade, trampolines which you have to pay for even if you are all inclusive, food was good but repetitive,breakfast was not great. weather was nice between 20-25 degrees during the week we stayed pools were cold.

Lovely hotel, we visited with a 2 year and old and 6 month old. The entertainment was so good for the little ones! Definitely recommend. Zizou and the team were very accommodating for the little one, filling all his musical requests (cha cha slide)

The hotel is perfect for families with children. The animation team is excelent and Zizou is making sure that everyone has a nice stay. All staff is very helpful and friendly. It is very close to nice sandy beach. I highly recomend that hotel.

Overall a really good week away with the kids. We leave this evening. Would have been a 4 star if not for the beds. Stayed in Block Q room 102 so we had the swim up infinity pool, kids loved this and is shallow enough not to have to worry about them as much. We could see the entertainment from our balcony which was also a winning feature as we sat out most nights and relaxed watching, this worked as the entertainment is so loud you cannot hear each other speak when in the area itself. Entertainment is however pretty good and watchable. Bingo, karaoke all the stuff. Rooms are great but TV options are not. If you have a fire stick, take it. Works fine and saves watching crap films when in the room. We had 2 X kids beds and 1 double for us. ***Beds are probably most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. Nothing can be done about this really, be prepared for aches and pains in the mornings. This is not an exaggeration. They really are awful. Use the grey throw overs they provide as extra cushioning maybe. Showers are hot and plenty of pressure, needed thh to massage the bed pains out. During the day the pools and slides are fantastic. Kids loved it and played for hours each time. Loads of pools to choose from and slides too, as an adult however I would add that the slides have bumps and bits that stick out, they can be fairly painful. Unsure if this was me being 38 or the slides needing some attention. Both probably. Good around the hotel is Ok, not bad, not great just ok. Was always something diff each night that worked ok. Lunch is the same. Breakfast was same each day but was better of all the meals, eggs, bacon + many other options. Snack bars had ice cream, gyros, chips and more, this was a winner for the kids who kept going back for more and also us adults as the food was nice. Far end of hotel has activities for the kids that inc arcades, trampolines and bouncy castles......all required extra payment to use. The arcades I understand but to have a third party selling what I would consider part of the all inclusive was poor, I would not normally expect this to be free but in this hotels case they had no proper park for the kids to use, id expect then these to be alot cheaper or free to make up for it. A swing and A slide doesn't really make up a park for me and I have seen better facilities at cheaper hotels. Had a football cage and basketball cage, not maintained very well but usable, these are not signposted so ask staff were to find. Little things ......... In the food area there's no signs for people and they grab the bread bare hands to cut it and then place it back, not a fan of this. When they run out of gyros at 2-3pm they do not replenish. Once it's gone it's gone, not ideal. Teabags.....bring your own as like above, once there gone in the mornings there gone. Cleaners and bar staff were great and always helpful and smiling. Chatty and spoke decent English too which helped. Big things.....beer and spirits are

Having booked last minute and after reading a few of the reviews on here we were slightly apprehensive but we were blown away by our stay at Caretta Paradise! We had a lovely swim-up room. The room was comfortable and clean and the pool was clean and not at all crowded. The whole place is very family-friendly. The water park is great for the kids and there are snacks (including excellent gyros!) available all day. We went all inclusive and were very impressed by the food also. There are several restaurants to choose from, including the main buffet restaurant, a burger restaurant and an Italian one too. The food was hot, plentiful and there was a great selection to suit the whole family. There was always a freshly cooked Greek special each day which was excellent. There's also a speciality Greek restaurant on site which you can book one evening as part of the all inclusive deal. The setting of the hotel is lovely, with several little bars and restaurants within a few minutes and a great beach at the bottom of the hill. I'd really recommend the hotel for a relaxing family holiday.

We returned from our holiday on Saturday 26th October 2024 after a week at this hotel and we will not be returning. I know it was end of season and the hotel was closing but the food in the restaurants was cold, with limited choice and it seemed to be the same food every day the snack bar was ok but often the food there was cold too, we eat out 4 nights of the 7. The staff we're ok never really smiled or got any conversation from them or found them very helpful. The drinks were watered down and the entertainment was poor. The pools were ice cold, the water park was fun but slides are rapid. The room was ok, clean and basic but the smell from the drain was disgusting, we was in E block at the bottom of the complex with a swim up room and the beds were rock hard, woke everyday with back ache. There was every little around the hotel, taxi into the town was €10 or about a 30 minute walk but beach was about a 5 minute walk but was full of stones. Half of the machines in the arcade did not work. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.
