Sunrise Zante - Adults Only Hotel

Hotel Lovely small hotel with a good size pool area. Lots of sunbeds available however I could see the sun bed rush being an issue during peak season. Large room however we were gifted the “rooster suite” which benefitted from 247 rooster callings from the nearby chicken farm. Multiple Roosters who have no idea of time so they just call all day and night! We had a storm on the first evening and the whole room was flooded - the staff dealt with this quickly and efficiently. Hotel is a good 25 minutes walk to the beach, 20 minutes to bars and restaurants. Staff Most staff are wonderful and so friendly. The ladies in the bar/restaurant always greeted you with a smile and always helpful. They are an absolute asset to the hotel. As was the friendly gardener. The manager on reception and his PA were not the most friendly. No have you had a nice stay , we are happy to welcome you back should you decide to return. No they just handed us our restaurant bill, we paid and that was it. I think the customer service on reception could do with improving. Food Some of the best food I’ve had from a Greek hotel. So many delicious things available and at amazing prices and as always - served with a smile. Would I return? Resort /island yes, hotel no. Bit too far out the resort and the customer service from the manager would need improving .

In a good location around a ten minute walk to the centre of tsilivi. Staff are very nice and professional, our room was clean and modern, with a good shower free air on and free safe. Pool area nice with lots of sunbeds and greenery. Mattresses on sunbeds are a good addition. Breakfasts were very nice.

This hotel was way better than expected after reading negative comments room was clean and airy powerful hot shower free air con and safe cleaned everyday …. Pool area clean plenty beds… snack bar lots of choice very helpful staff didn’t get every one name but Christina and oskana amazing… also reception staff very helpful would I return absolutely.. and to be fair u carnt blame the hotel for cockerel n chickens n dogs barking the farm was probably there before hotel if it bothers u take earplugs and enjoy ..

We stayed at sunrise hotel for 2 weeks bnb rooms lovely spacious bathroom nice balcony with airer for clothes, aircon & and safety deposit box free. We paid 98 euros in tax on arrival 4star hotel. Breakfasts OK nt a great deal of choice toaster takes forever and if you want anything with egg eg scrambled, fried ,omelette , you order it and they make it some days sausage some days bacon, they have cereal n fruit but had better in other hotels kind of felt like you were been watched at what you got. Hotel grounds kept spotless pool area lovley only 15mins from airport so 1st drop off. We walked into town about 15 to 20 mins and 25 mins to beach there's a free bus from hotel that takes you down 3 times a day but we walked it, sunbeds and umbrella were 12 euros for day which was worth it for breeze alone as really hot around pool. Earthquake Elvis is a MUST See and Abba were good and many more all in all great holiday bt hotel a little to far out for us.

Lovely, clean, quiet family run hotel. Just as we wanted. Lovely staff. Decent sized pool. Enjoyed the food, never starved, restaurant style service rather than help yourself let’s pile as much food as possible on your plate and leave it. Breakfast I enjoyed pancakes, waffles, yoghurt and coffee. Bus stop to Zakinthos 2 minutes down the road, €1.30 pp each way. Only negative I could think of would be wasps near pool, toilet doors at poolside didn’t close properly, would’ve like toasties from 10 for the times I didn’t make it for breakfast.

My wife and I arrived in Zakynthos for an All-Inclusive holiday on 6th June 2023 and left on 16th June 2023. Our flight from Cardiff was due to arrive at 8pm but due to delays we got to the hotel at 10:15pm and we were the only two getting off the coach. We were then faced with steps up to the entrance but fortunately there was also a ramp. We checked in and asked if there was any food available as we were both starving but was told the restaurant was closed and there was no food available. We were also told there’s a restaurant across the road who may still be serving. We had a sandwich and drinks there which cost 25 Euros. We were given one key and was asked to follow the staff member to the room, we were faced with twenty steps and no lift. The room was quite large and spotlessly clean, there was no wardrobes or drawers where we could put our things. Over the next couple of days, my wife’s arthritis was getting worse so we asked if we could move to the ground floor but was told the hotel was full even though two rooms, we noticed, didn’t seem to be occupied for a few days. I mentioned to the receptionist that there seemed to be a lot of younger guests on the ground floor but us, as pensioners, were put on the first floor. She told me they don’t have the ages of guests before they arrive. Over the next few days, we asked on two separate occasions about moving but again was told the hotel was full. The choices for breakfast were the same every day. The cooked breakfast was cold, one day the egg was very underdone. The lunch choices were a set menu, but the food was hotter than breakfast. The set menu given at lunchtime was also given at dinner, but a chef’s special was added. One day it was risotto, another day it was chicken on the spit. One day we didn’t fancy anything on the menu, so walked to the Memories restaurant and had a lovely meal and the prices were good. This was about an eight-minute walk away. When we booked the holiday in the TUI shop, we also booked the shipwreck cove excursion at the same time. We were told the trip was about 8 hours long and the pickup was 7:30am. We asked if the hotel provided a packed lunch and we were told “Mention it to the hotel and they will sort you out” Two days before we were due to go on the trip we spoke to reception and was told the hotel don’t provide pack lunches for excursions, we also found out there was only snacks onboard. We are both diabetics and must eat regularly so we cancelled the trip. TUI refunded the cost when we got home as we had cancelled outside 24 hours. We did book another trip to see the turtles, this was only 4 hours and the only turtle we seen was in the harbour before we left. As I’ve mentioned, the hotel was nice and clean, there was plenty on sunbeds but how this hotel is 3 star beats me. Some parts of the hotel have three floors and no lift access. We often saw people with large suitcases struggling up the outside flight of stairs.
