📍 690-8 Wadayamacho Teradani, Asago
★★ 9.0 (17 reviews)

"I stayed there on a Saturday because most of the hotels were fully booked, but it would be difficult without a car. The hotel is quite old and the room was on the third floor, but there was no elevator, so it would be difficult if you had a lot of luggage. There were several small restaurants nearby, and Aeon was just 1.5km away by car. The reception staff were very friendly."

★★★★★ 9.6 (16 reviews)

"The hotel covers the entire town surrounding Takeda Station, and the historic houses offer a unique experience! Although the houses are old, the facilities are modern and the stay is very comfortable! The dinner served in the restaurant was also delicious. There's a small lounge area on the second floor next to the restaurant, offering a variety of complimentary drinks for guests. The room type I stayed in was "VMG HOTELS Guest Room Building (Kusuna)," a large two-story house, perfect for a family. The downside is that the bathroom is located in the backyard, requiring you to walk outside to access it. While this path is covered by a roof to protect against rain, it's still quite challenging in summer, and at night, it allows flying insects to enter the room."

"Although I only stayed overnight, I was greeted with a warm and homely feeling, and the futon was thick and felt like a bed, so it was easy on my back. The tatami stairs and floor were very stylish, and the bath and toilet were clean and comfortable. When I left, they came to see me off and cleared over 30cm of snow from my car, which was a great help. Thank you very much."

"I loved the breakfast so much that this is my second stay. While it's not for people who prefer Japanese food, the chicken teriyaki sandwich and shrimp avocado sandwich are delicious. The smoothie they bring out when you sit down is also delicious. The location is perfect if you have a car."

"I had a booking at this hotel for 14th August, but unfortunately my wife was unwell and we could not travel. I requested cancellation in advance, but the hotel refused to accept it. Even though I explained it was a medical emergency, the staff were not understanding or flexible. The hotel should show more care and understanding toward guests in emergency situations. Strictly refusing cancellation without any consideration is very disappointing."

EN Takeda Castle Town Hotel ★★★★★
"My family of three and I stayed in the detached building in the front building. We walked to the restaurant in the front building for dinner and enjoyed a delicious full-course French meal made with locally produced ingredients. From the restaurant, we could see the illuminated Takeda Castle, and the Bantan Line tracks ran right next to it, and the sight of diesel trains occasionally running was a sight that railway fans couldn't resist. The front and restaurant building had a small but large public bath, and although it was renovated from an old house, the bathroom and toilet had been beautifully renovated. Due to the structure, I was worried that it would be cold in the winter, but the heating worked well and we were comfortable even in the middle of winter. The town of Takeda is quiet, making it the perfect environment for a stroll with my dog. A five-minute drive away is Tateunkyo Gorge, where you can see Takeda Castle and the townscape. It was very pleasant to stroll while enjoying the scenery."

"Despite it being the first three days of the New Year, the price was very reasonable, and to be honest, I didn't have very high expectations. However, the lovingly prepared meals, the feeling of peace and tranquility like returning home, and the wonderful hospitality and thoughtfulness of the inn staff made it a truly memorable experience. I definitely want to go again. I have experience staying at many inns, but this is a warm and welcoming place that I can truly recommend."
