"Just had 3 of the hottest nights of my life in this place. We were on the ground floor, with a glass door to a communal outside. The problem with this - we couldn’t leave the door open at night as anyone could then come into your room. So you have no window. No air con. And not even a fan. Really unacceptable. The heat outside wasn’t exceptionally hot, but despite this, the room seems to self heat. You can get a breeze through, but 10mins after shutting the door, you’re back to square 1. It was quite intolerable. Very jealous of the rooms on the first floor that could leave their window open. Surprised that they encouraged you not to have your room serviced everyday in an effort to “go green”. As when we did have it serviced, nothing was done other than beds made and towels hung nicely. No fresh cups/glasses, no tea/coffee replacements, no loo roll replacements. Not really sure how “going green” stops your room from being serviced if you keep your towels hung up. It just appeared that they were cost cutting. We paid over £100/night and expected much better. A shame as the location was lovely, plentiful parking, rooms had been refurbed. But despite this, you are roasted alive all night."
