The room is big and design is unusual also. The bed is very comfortable. There ia nothing much to do at night but walking to another building for onsen. Staffs were helpful.

Good facility, comfortable rooms but not much view. Will consider this hotel again when coming back to ASO.

Great hotel, highly recommended. It's a walking distance to the Aso train station and room was stylishly designed too, with quite a nice view outside!

Next to aso train station but noted better for car driving due to in evening no food and have to travel approx 15 minute to 30 minute for find restaurant and hotel no restaurant service Other thing is perfect

Can always expect a wonderful room from fairfield by marriot all around japan. Clean, and well designed

Great location, making it only a short drive to nearby attractions sites. The service upon arrival was very welcoming. One of the Japanese lady at the front desk spoke really good English and we spoke about nice places to eat so that was nice. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was soft and comfortable. The room had an open floor layout, which meant that there is no wall between the bed (room) and the bathroom. However, upon taking a closer look I moved that there are sliding dots that shoes you to create a wall between the two areas, so that was a cover design. In terms of amenities there aren’t many. There is a communal area behind the reception which has a communal kitchen that has toasters, microwave, coffee machine, cutlery and I think that’s it. There is a vending and a small laundry room (which you have to download an app so that you can pay to use). Finally, it is worth mentioning that the view from the room was simply gorgeous. Waking up to such a view makes you happy and excited. Overall, it was a really countable stay.

The hotel is so clean. The room is spacious and tidy. I love the common space.

Great location for travellers who wants to visit Mount Aso. The hotel is located right next to the train station, visitor centre and paid shuttle bus to go up to Mount Aso. Slight distance from restaurants hence best to have your own car. The hotel room is great and very clean however be aware that limited washing machines and dryers are available. No swimming pool, no gym and no bar.

The hotel is right next to Aso Station, making its location excellent. The room itself felt very new, and the amenities were standard, fitting the Fairfield brand's positioning. The Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk were very helpful, providing a crib and baby bathtub since we were traveling with an infant.

We were extremely satisfied with this hotel. First, the location is incredibly convenient, just a one-minute walk from Aso Station. Second, both the room and the bedding were super comfortable. It was the most comfortable night we had during our entire Kyushu trip.

The room was very clean and not small at all. The only downsides were that the sink tended to splash water easily, and it was quite rare for a bathroom in Japan not to have a bathtub (though I personally found it convenient and clean). If you really want to catch the volcano opening, staying here for two nights is a good idea. The tranquility after the day-trippers leave in the early morning and evening is wonderful. However, dining options nearby are a bit limited. There's a medium-sized local supermarket near Aso Station that closes at 6 PM; it's great for grabbing discounted onigiri and bento boxes. If you walk about 3 minutes towards the main road, there's a Western-style cafe that offers three-course sets. A Lawson convenience store is 5 minutes away, and about 10 minutes away, there's a local ramen shop called 'Hi no Kuni' (Fire Country) that's highly recommended. Their black garlic ramen, a full-meal type, costs 75 yen and tastes good, though the shop is a bit old and could be cleaner.

We had a great experience living here, the location was easy to access, the service was extraordinary and the rooms were very sanitary. Everything looked really new and clean, and they even provided drinks for us when we checked out. There is a parking lot free of charge. It is first come first serve, but there are still a lot of spaces. We lived in connected rooms. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were clean and the aircon worked perfectly. But, there isn’t a restaurant or any other facilities in the hotel, so I would advise you to wake up early in the morning to find a restaurant that y’all like or buy some food from the Lawson nearby (1 min drive) to eat in the hotel pantry.

Staying at the Fairfield hotel was great! Its prime location right in front of Aso Station made getting around super convenient. There's a 'One Piece' Usopp statue right outside the station, and directly opposite is a local specialty market where we ended up eating almost all our meals. The hotel was very thoughtful, offering complimentary ice and hot beverages. For our itinerary, we spent a whole day exploring Mount Aso, walking halfway around the trail and even climbing up to the Nakadake crater. The breathtaking views from the summit were unforgettable.

This is the only mid-to-high-end business hotel right next to Aso Station, and both the interior and exterior environments are excellent! The lobby bar offers complimentary coffee, hot water, and tea bags, as well as a microwave. The backyard garden is elegant and quiet, perfect for reading, relaxing, or using your phone, and there's Wi-Fi. The rooms are quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. The only downside is that there's no restaurant and no meals provided, but luckily, there are restaurants and a Lawson convenience store nearby.
