The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort

This place is amazing. It's luxury upon luxury. It has everything you need right at your doorstep, if you're not worried about exploring the island you can stay here your entire trip and be thoroughly satisfied. It has its own beach that is sheltered from swell so it's nice and calm. Perfect for kids and snorkelers alike! The restaurants they have are all 5 star and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this resort!

The hotel is beautiful. It feels tranquil and relaxing, even in peak holiday season. The food is excellent- we opted for for full board. The sunsets from the beach bar are incredible. We tried the spa- it is very relaxing and the massage by Elena was excellent. We booked a luxury villa with pool and see view- perfect for family with older children, as 2 bathrooms. The infinity pool and view are stunning. You get 4 large bottles of water per day complimentary, there is a shop on site where you can buy water and other bits and pieces. Also a supermarket up the road.

My husband and I spent a few days at The Royal Blue Resort and Spa and were ecstatic about every aspect of our experience. We look forward to returning in the near future. The views are the standout feature of this resort. From our villa, we had a front row seat to the sunset every evening. Additionally, the staff, amenities, and service are first class. As soon as we stepped foot onto the property, we were greeted with a cool cloth that smelled of eucalyptus and presented with a refreshing drink. If you seek a peaceful getaway away from the typical tourist traps, I recommend you visit the Royal Blue Resort and Spa in Crete where everyone is treated like a VIP.

An absolutely first class experience at the Royal Blue. My Fiance and I stayed here for a week in June 2025 and had an amazing time. The food was sensational, the views from the restaurants even more so and the staff couldn't do enough to help. We both also had several treatments at the onsite spa. Again, the service was top class and the prices very reasonable. All in all a wonderful experience and one I highly recommend!

Supreme comfort and service. Our return visit didn’t disappoint. This resort is for travelers that seek peace, relaxation and high levels of service. As with all travel not everything can go to plan however when this happens the team at The Royal Blue really step up and go to great lengths to make things right. The guest relations team are a big notch above other resorts. Having visited twice I’m happy to answer any questions. I would recommend a water front room for the most spectacular views. We loved the buffet food service- lots of choice and fresh, quality ingredients. Every night there was a great choice of local fish, meat, Cretan cuisine and vegetarian dishes. Every night we were welcomed by a genuinely happy team who remembers your name/room. Evening sunsets from the elevated dining veranda were stunning. Don’t choose this hotel if you are looking for a resort with loads of children, lots of entertainment and a busy bar scene. The Royal Blue is dedicated to providing you with an environment to unwind, relax and de-stress. Thank you to the team for making our Anniversary trip truly romantic and relaxing.

Wonderful family-friendly resort with calm sea, great service, and delicious food We had a fantastic stay at this small, cozy hotel complex. The layout is charming — individual rooms located in small separate houses, which creates a sense of privacy and calm. The highlight for us was definitely the beach. About 85% of the coastline is protected by wave breakers, so there were virtually no waves. One side of the beach is sandy, the other more rocky, but still very beautiful. The water is clean and crystal clear — we could see little fish swimming around. Our kids spent the entire day swimming in the sea, which is quite rare and very important for us as a family. We also really enjoyed the food. We had half-board (breakfast and dinner), and the selection was very good. Everything was quite tasty — maybe slightly over-salted at times (especially meat and fish), but nothing major. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone tried to help and made us feel comfortable. A special mention to the restaurant team, who often anticipated our needs — they remembered our coffee orders and would bring them without even asking. A big thank you to Evangelia, who was always kind, attentive, and understood everything without needing to explain. Also, the massage by George was excellent — very relaxing but with just the right amount of pressure. The beach and pools were great. Almost all pools had salt water, and there was even an adults-only pool, which we really appreciated. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to return. Thank you for a wonderful experience! One small downside: some of the internal paths between the rooms were a bit dirty — probably from the buggies going back and forth, leaving black marks. But other than that, there were no significant downsides at all. Highly recommended!
