"I have stayed at The Red Lion some years back. This time I was very pleased to see that the interior decoration had been updated. The room I had was very pleasantly decorated with William Morris wallpaper. The breakfast and restaurant and restaurant area had had a facelift too. Definitely an improvement from what it looked like previously. The staff members at reception were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Thank you."

"I have been travelling up here for a while and have been disappointed by the mediocre establishments locally. This new hotel is a cut above the rest ! Convenient location for the motorway network but also a short taxi app in to the city or Rotherham. Beautifully appointed rooms, lovely open plan bar/ restaurant area and rather than the usual hotel nonsense they have a proper, locally sourced and themed menu. They seem to have a good cocktail selection although I didn’t try this, the wine choices were excellent, honestly, couldn’t fault it, great staff, keep it up and I will be back ."
