Hotels Near Cultural Center of the Republic in Asuncion

The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were very close to the hotel. I don't know if it's a matter of the organization of the event or the hotel, but there were no clear addresses about where to find the rooms. There were problems with the lift in several days, it is noted that the facilities and lift have already many years, perhaps it was for the use of that week.

We found this hotel on TripAdvisor of course, and were in town for business from abroad. Although this review is a little late—we stayed multiple times in 2021 in Jan and May/June—they operated flawlessly during the pandemic, and even remembered us when we came back months later! They have a Juan Valdez cafe in the lobby, which was appreciated as a coffee lover :) The rooms are spacious and modern, and the beds so comfy. We hope to return. O hotel é de fácil acesso, e está situado num bairro tranquilo e seguro. Em frente ao hotel tem uma hamburgueria, que também serve pratos com carnes sensacionais. Ao lado tem uma galeria com restaurante, salão de beleza, etc. Bem próximo tem um shopping onde pode trocar o dinheiro, e antes de chegar nele, ainda tem uma casa de câmbio numa galeria, que também conta com farmácia, onde pode comprar água, refrigerante, etc. No hotel os funcionários são educados e atenciosos. O check in e o checkout são rápidos. É preciso ter cartão internacional, para passar no check in, onde eles fazem um bloqueio de uma quantia, para o caso de haver consumação extra no hotel. A limpeza do hotel e do quarto é impecável. O quarto é perfeito, grande, silencioso, super confortável. Na tv não tem muitos canais. O banheiro é grande, com banheira, amenities, secador de cabelo e espelho com lente de aumento. No café da manhã servem pães, doces, croissant, queijos, presuntos, frutas, ovos, bacon, salsicha ao molho de tomate, café, sucos, leite, iogurte, chá... No lbby do hotel tem o restaurante, que é bem frequentado à noite. No rooftop fica a piscina com um bar muito bom à disposição dos hóspedes. O local é lindo, e a noite então, mais ainda. Com vista para toda cidade. O uber chega bem rápido ao ser chamado de lá do hotel. Vale muito a pena se hospedar nesse hotel. Amei!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is clean, tidy, well located and friendly staff. We had a twin room, which was of a good size. No slippers or bathrobes provided, you do have a kettle with a few teabags and one coffee pad (not sure why just one for two people). Small fridge and good working airco. Only negative was the sliding door to the toilet/shower, really hard to open from the toilet side. Rooftop pool had great views, nice bar for evening cocktails and a decent bar menu. Breakfast on the ground floor non exciting, very standard corporate hotel breakfast. Staff everywhere friendly and helpful. Reception can provide you with a map of Asuncion. We used Uber to get around, which worked fine Next to the hotel is Del Sol, a western shopping mall - airco and more restaurants

Perfect location for midtown commercial district. Conference center short walk outbound; small mall with food court across the street: and Shell convenience store with Juan Valdez coffee in inbound direction. Affordable Uber to old center. Best was small but well equipped gym. Only complaint is watery mess of eggs for breakfast and contaminated/unclean coffee pot; eat out.

Stayed here for 2 weeks for a work trip. The staff are all friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant servers! The beds are comfortable. It’s in an easy to access and safe area with many food options available nearby. It’s about 25 min away by Uber from the historical center, but is great for business meetings. I booked a conference room during my stay here and it was very easy. They also have laundry services on site and all of my clothes came back fresh the next day. The gym is small but has everything you need for a good workout. The walls are a bit thin and I’d recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, but besides that it was a perfect stay. My only recommendation is for them to add tea kettles to the room. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Let me start with the pros about this hotel. It is in a very good and secure location near restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a nice swimming pool on the top floor and a fairly well-equipped gym as well. There is a spa where you can get a good massage for a reasonable price. The hotel restaurant, Tacuare’e, serves excellent food and the service is top notch. The breakfasts have a fairly good selection of food, but it literally never changes. It is the same thing every day. It would have been nice to have a change since we were there for three weeks. The coffee is awful and you are charged extra for cappuccino, etc. Now let me talk a little about some of the cons. This is what I would call a minimalist hotel and I really should write minimalist in capital letters. The lobby is plain and boring and the rest of the hotel follows its example. The walls are white and literally devoid of any color or decorations of any kind – no pictures, nothing. That goes for the rooms as well. There is nowhere comfortable to sit in the lobby either. They have what looks like oversized mattresses that rest on the floor and are up against the wall, but there are no back rests. They look cheap and believe me, they are uncomfortable. Speaking of uncomfortable, the rooms have very little in the way of furniture – a small desk with a chair and another chair that is not only hard, but extremely uncomfortable. The closets are small with very little shelf space and there were only 4 clothes hangers. There were no drawers to store clothing. There was nowhere to place luggage and we came with a lot. Although the bathroom was clean, it smelled. It was the first thing we noticed each time we came into our room. Although the hotel tries to be accommodating, it needs significant improvement. We often had to ask multiple times for things we needed before they finally appeared in our room: extra hangers, something to put our luggage on, etc. Housekeeping was often slow and our room was not cleaned two times during our stay. And finally, according to the rules for 4-star hotels, one bottle of water per guest should be provided free of charge. The only water was in the minibar and we were charged for it. Although we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, we probably won’t be going back. There are other more attractive options in the area.

My goodness. No clue where to start. I stayed here 20 years ago the last time and absolutely nothing has changed until today. Mud and dirt everywhere even inside the public hallways, the elevator not working, breakfast was good but cramped. Staff couldn’t even say good morning (in Spanish), rooms are in dire need of pairing and renovation. Dirty walls, stained furniture, missing lightbulbs. No soundproofing whatsoever, bathrooms straight out if 1970. cramped and cluttered decoration out of someone’s worst nightmare. My goodness what a disappointment. Four stars? Not even 1. Tje only good thing was the area which is one of the best of Asunción. This hotel is a bad example of how a hotel should not be: old, neglected, dirty and cramped with cheap , noisy tourgroups that yell loudly all night. Pay a little more and get the Los Alpes or Le Pelican next door. Don’t ruin your vacation in this fantastic country by staying in a pocilga run by greedy , unscrupulous individuals without morals.

I stayed for 2 nights with check in July 8, 2023 and I am very pleased! Welcomed by the friendly staff and after receiving the amenities as a Platinum Ambassador member I was surprised by what this property has to offer: the Business Center featuring a Mac Pc desktop computer and a tasty snack near the evening time, which includes coffee. Nice addendum as it makes the stay even more enjoyable. Reservations department handles very well the advance purchase reservation and this establishment has a appealing swimming pool that I guess becomes so refreshing in summer time. I will certainly come back for my next trip to the lovely Asuncion!
