Leave your phone, iPad. If you like to relax, focus on your well being. This quiet place let you recharge, reset, and help you to be a better self. Location is remote, you need a taxi from Atami station. Not sure if all room does but we had a private outdoor tab with ocean view.

The location is incredible, nestled in the mountains. The staff are incredibly polite and efficient. The rooms are traditional but with with tasteful modern additions. The on-site onsens are incredible after a long day of sightseeing. And the food was unbelievable. I’m not sure where they stole this guy from but there’s a Michelin starred restaurant missing its head chef.

Wunderbarer, freundlicher Empfang mit Grüntee und toller Aussicht. Unser japanisches Zimmer war ein Traum, ebenso das private Bad auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer. Abendessen und Frühstück superfein und kunstvoll angerichtet. Toller Blick für Sonnenaufgang. Sehr freundlicher Staff. Wir kommen wieder 🙏👏

フロントが４階、１～３階が客室で下に階段をくだってゆく造りになっている宿。 崖に建つ保養所をリノベーションしたので、エレベータを増築するのは無理だったようだ。古さを感じる階段はステップが狭く、比較的急。レストランやフロント、ラウンジは４階なので利用するたび階段を昇り降りしなければならない。バリアフリー配慮が無いのでお年寄りには酷。エレベータが無いということを目立つようにアナウンスした方が良いと思う。 ２０１６年にリニューアルしたとなっているが、前面改装はランク上の「うきふね」「あおい」二部屋のみとのこと。 私が宿泊した部屋は「ふじばかま」という２階の八畳の部屋。この部屋は部分改装（洗面所、窓など）だった。鍵開け式のお粗末なドアと薄暗く狭い部屋を見た瞬間、がっかりした。宿のHPは前面改装した部屋の素敵な写真がメインになっているので、誤解してしまう部分もある。 汚れの目立つ洗面所の床、建具の傷、家より小さく映りの悪いTV、トイレの流れも悪い。うるさい換気扇を止めると、古い建造物独特の匂いがする。部屋露天は循環、湯口から湯が出てないので温泉感に乏しい。 口コミで冷蔵庫のビールなどドリンクフリーと書いてあったのだが、ペットボトルのお茶と水しかなかった。自販機も無かった。朝食のみのプランだったためだろうか。 夜中に大きな蜘蛛が出現、壁を動き回り就寝中に寝床に入ってくるのではないか不安で、ほとんど眠れなかった。 ユーチューブ動画やいくつかのホテル予約サイトの口コミなど事前リサーチをかなりしたのだが、想像とは落差があった。 某宿泊予約サイトで非常に評価が高い宿だが、私の口コミは載らなかった。悪い口コミは載せないのかもしれない。 口コミは載らないのに宿から返答がきた。 「客室設えの経年劣化によりご不快な思いを抱かせてしまいましたこと併せてお詫び申し上げます。特にお泊まりいただきましたお部屋については、比較的価格帯を考慮してご案内しています」 朝食付きで５万以上するので、考慮されてるとは感じにくかった。

11月後半にきりつぼ(303)に宿泊しました。 お部屋が広く、年季が入っている建物と思われますがとても綺麗な状態でした。 露天風呂からの景色も最高で、夕方は紅葉と海を同時に眺める事ができ、夜には綺麗な星空、朝は方角的に海から日の出も見えます。 お料理も大変美味しく、彩も鮮やかで目でも楽しむことが出来ました。 お宿の皆様の対応もご丁寧でとても清々しく過ごすせました。 また次回も紅葉の季節に来たいような、もしくは他の季節も楽しみたいような、いい意味で悩みますが、いずれにせよまた来たいと強く思える素晴らしいお宿です。
