When our original hotel cancelled on us upon arrival and left us stranded with nowhere to stay, we found Fontaine Bleu — and it turned out to be the best possible outcome. From the very beginning, Bidur Padel was outstanding. He was kind, professional, and efficient, helping us immediately in a time of real stress. His hospitality made all the difference, and we are so grateful. The hotel itself is fantastic. Our room was gorgeous, beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. The hot springs were a perfect way to relax, and the nearby beach made the location even better. It felt like everything we could have hoped for and more. Thank you to Bidur and the team at Fontaine Bleu for turning what started as a difficult situation into one of the most memorable and enjoyable stays of our trip. A true 5-star experience.

3階のスイートに宿泊しました。民家の中にあるため非日常とはいかず、イメージと違いましたが仕方ない。肝心の料理ですが、オーベルジュにしては夕食が貧相だし、ソムリエも見当たりません。ルームサービスは21時までで早すぎる。源泉掛け流しの定義も曖昧ですが、ボイラーの音がうるさく露天風呂で寛げません。朝食が洋食の宿で焼きたてパンが出なかったのは初めてだったのでがっかりでした。トルティーヤは違うと思う。*料理もなし。作り置きのものばかりでした。厳しいようですが、名前からオーベルジュを外せばハードルが下がって評価が上がる気がします。

桜の花見がてら温泉旅行にと。箱根へは何度か訪れ、今回は基本的に海を見ながら温泉に入れる宿にしようと思い、ただ食事もワインを楽しめる所として選びました。オーベルジュなので食事は期待通りではありましたが、マリアージュに頼んだワインが残念でした。ソムリエがいるはずなのに、なぜ？的な。部屋は広くゆったりしていてクローゼットも広く使いやすかったです。期待の部屋付き露天は、部屋とベランダの間に全面ガラス窓のサンドイッチに配置され眼下を道路が走っている為に何とも微妙なところでした。部屋着、パジャマ、タオルなどは文句なし。

THE「オーベルジュ」を楽しませてもらいました。 ①部屋 今回泊まった部屋は広くはないですが、清掃が行き届き、ベッド、ソファー、温泉風呂つき、室内は癒やし音楽が流れる、まったり、ゆっくりの時間に浸れました。 ②料理 熱海という海のそば、春という季節を感じさせてくれる料理を五感で楽しみました。 前菜の3種のイカ、ホワイトアスパラとアンティチョークは、柚子と酒盗のオランデーズソースがよく合い、スープは、甲殻類のコンソメスープの深みのある味わい、また、香りに感激、魚料理の舌平目のポワレ、カダイフのドゥミアンクルートは、クラシカルの白葡萄酒のソースが、舌平目の溶けそうな柔らかさとカダイフの適度な硬さにうまくマッチして楽しみました。肉料理のローストビーフとフィレの2種の食べ比べは、レフォールを利かせた牛のコンソメソース、溜まり赤ワインコンサントレで、甘辛いソース、ピリッとくるソースで一皿で、二度、三度楽しませてもらいました。 デザートは、皿上にマスカルポーネのクリームと柚子のソースを使い描いた海からのぼる朝日をイメージした絵に、別に風船で作った水餅を、風船を割って朝日の位置に盛り付け、ポートワインの黒蜜をかけるのを客の前でおこなう遊び心に、味も、香りも、風船割も楽しませてもらいました。 まさに、THEオーベルジュの一泊でした。 また、お伺いしたい体験ができました。
