Omonia Athens|0.06km from Omonia Railway Station
Stayed here for 4 nights end of Feb/March as a couple. Location: Hotel is in an excellent location directly opposite the Metro within walking distance to Syntagma Square, Monistraki Square and the Acropolis (or you can take the Metro red line and these are within 3 stops which we did). Can also walk to neighbourhoods like Psyri which we did for dinner which was lovely. Omonia Square which is the metro station name is also on the same line as Piraeus which is the port of Athens (well worth a visit to walk around and have food / drinks overlooking Zea Marina or Mikrolimano Harbour. Down the road is Central Market which we experienced on a Sunday night which was cool. 24-7 bakery next door which is more than just a bakery; sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, artisan desserts A couple of late night gyros places if you arrive late including 1 directly next door Supermarkets within a few mins walk Room: We had a comfort room. On check in she offered us an upgrade without seeing the room and told us to have a look at it first. The room was small but clean however the view was awful. Boxed in by 3 derelict walls taller than us so natural light was limited. Housekeeping is lazy - put water in a broken fridge (we fixed ourselves), didn't replace cups or tea/coffee after we had used the, (had to ask reception twice) and on day 3 she took every single towel and didn't replace them. We had 2 single beds (not even put together with 1 sheet to make it like a double). Bathroom needs an upgrade, shower made water go absolutely everywhere and the tiles are very outdated. I would recommend going for a deluxe room (we were offered an extra 12 euros a night for one) and didn't take it but if you like a bit more comfort and a view then it is probably worth it. Breakfast: Great spread, continental breakfast, pastries, yogurt etc. Overall, would recommend (with a deluxe room). Cannot fault the location and moreover Athens is alive every night. Part of the fun was walking from the hotel to dinner (restaurants are absolutely incredible). We walked through some dark streets but honestly nobody even so much as looked at us funny so don't let anyone put you off by mentioning the streets round the back of Omonia Square.

I was very worried about this hotel after reading the reviews, however we had a wonderful stay for my 40th birthday, the hotel staff are wonderful and reception arranged a bottle of wine on the day of my birthday and also helped my partner arrange some flowers on the day too. We were in an Urban room at the front of the hotel with a view of the square. The room was enough space for the two of us just lacked space to hang up clothes. We ended up putting our cases under the bed. The bathroom was great no issues with water going everywhere. The decor was very dark throughout but we loved that. Would recommend taking ear plugs. Was generally a quiet stay there were no rooftop parties for our duration, but on the last night there was someone watching something loud on the tv & singing/talking loudly until very early hours. Beds were really comfy, the rooftop bar is excellent we always managed to get a sunbed food was also lovely from the bar. Breakfast was great. The location is a bit sketchy yes there are homeless people but it is a capital city and in comparison to London/Manchester we felt safe enough walking around sticking to the main roads- we did take a side street one evening after dinner and it was a bit iffy but generally in the day was ok just keep your valuables close. We used the metro and the hop on hop off bus is great to get your bearings. Hotel is central great for exploring. Would recommend the Street Food tour and a trip to Temple of Poseidon even though it was a long way.

Very good experience! The front desk is friendly. She upgraded me to a double bed, even though I live alone. There's a bar and jacuzzi on the roof. Bath supplies are complete. Eye masks and earplugs are also provided. The decor is vintage and tasteful, with a record and a record player in the room. Breakfast dishes are extensive, with Greek yogurt and honey as well as Greek salad and feta, which are delicious.

Really liked this hotel! It is literal steps away from the Metro and an easy walk into Plaka and the surrounding neighborhoods. Service was wonderful from check-in to check out. Bed was cozy and room amenities were good. If you’re looking for a hotel product that’s consistent with what you see in North America, this has that. The bar, as you might imagine at a Moxy, was lively each night and was a great spot for a nightcap. And even given the location, it seemed very quiet to us. Breakfast was a scene and you may be best to try out one of the bakeries or coffee shops in/along Omonia Square. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel room is not big, but the location is very convenient for travel. When you go out from the left-hand corner and turn right, you will find the subway station. There are also several restaurants, which are quite lively. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the old site of the University of Athens and 20 minutes to the Syntagma Square.

I stayed for one week in a double room. The room was quiet, bed and pillows were comfortable. Wardrobe with a few hangers. Shower room was a bit small but clean and the shower was warm and powerful. The hotel is a minute walk to the centre square and subway station. Great location for the traveller and tourist. All hotel staff were chatty and very helpful.
