"A weekend break .. excellent location. Hotel is spotless and food is great in restaurant and bar. Requested firm pillows as they were really soft and uncomfortable and apparently they were changed but were exactly the same as the ones that were on originally so if they were changed there was no difference. We actually bought 2 firm pillows in Primark. Aside from the pillows everything was lovely."

"**Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend** We stayed at Glen Abhainn Standard Budget Accommodation on 13 June 2026 and were extremely disappointed with the condition of the property on arrival. The apartment had a strong unpleasant smell throughout, and it was clear that it had not been properly cleaned before our stay. The kitchen worktops were sticky, there was a dirty coffee cup left behind, and the floors had not been vacuumed or cleaned adequately. We also found sticky bedside lockers, personal belongings from previous guests in the bedroom, hairs in the shower tray, and black mould in the shower area. The furniture was in poor condition, with dirty, broken and damaged sofas. There were cigarette butts and empty beer cans left on the balcony, and even a used plaster attached to a throw on one of the beds, which was particularly unhygienic and unacceptable. Maintenance standards were also poor. The shower door was broken, and the overall condition of the accommodation did not match what was advertised. Perhaps most concerning was the security issue. The apartment key was left outside in a lockbox, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable during our stay. Overall, the property fell far below acceptable standards of cleanliness, maintenance, hygiene and guest safety. Our experience was significantly affected, and we do not feel that the accommodation provided value for the price paid. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others."
