Aero Auckland Airport

Couldnt find a kettle to make cup of tea, the detail in the email of the bus stop location at the airport needs changing because its stop D not C for the yellow bus, the room had a weird chemical smell and was freezing but 2 little oil heaters that had seen better days were provided of which i kindve fixed by doing up the screws because hot heater sitting on carpet is fire risk (room 66). Service was excellent, bed was good, super cheap. Good for what I paid for, no complaints. You need a place to crash, this is fine. Dinner is decent. Shower is hot.

It was very cheap, was very close to the airport, staff were friendly and had a great shower and also a bath. Body wash and hand wash smelled nice. Unfortunately I was next to a couple who were arguing and I didn't get a good sleep. Only 1 towel provided, no hand towels, flannels or tea towels. Place needs work as mould on ceiling and gutters overflowing.

One tap, one sink. shower head was broken, shower didn't drain properly and leaked all over the bathroom floor. No hand towel or bath mat, only 2 towels so it ****** using one of those to dry the floor. A working lady was loudly taking clients in the room next door all night. The window latch was broken so in-between jobs we got her and her boss fighting while cigarette smoke drifted in through the window. Pillows and sheets were stained, the mugs, glasses and jug were filthy. There was chewing gum stuck to a wall and our door looked like it had been kicked in a few times. But its South Auckland so I get it. Also our "queen room" was 3 single beds, but they pushed two together. Unbelievable. For what its worth, the ladies at reception were nice enough and location + yellow bus service are great for getting to the airport. Easy improvement would be giving guests a bottle of water when they check in.

Original room didn't feel safe and was open when we arrived after midnight. Guest services immediately gave us an upgraded interior room with great amenities. It was clean, comfortable and safe.
