Haka House Auckland K'Road

This hostel was very clean and suitable for long-term stays. However, it was quite a walk uphill from Auckland city center to check-in, which was a bit challenging.

Perfect for solo travelers looking to meet new people from various nationalities. The location is convenient for exploring the city on foot. The weather is great, but it gets very cold in August with strong winds in the city of Olé. It's budget-friendly, and public transportation is easy with buses available. You can book tours to travel outside the city or rent a car to drive around the beach areas in Olé. Booking is also very convenient.

I stayed in a dormitory for 2 nights this time. It felt a bit crowded with many people. However, being a dormitory, it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable compared to others. The lounge was empty at certain times of the day.

The room was clean and tidy. The check-in staff were friendly, and the front desk clerk even helped me with my luggage up to the second floor (there were a lot of stairs and I had many bags), which was very nice. The common areas are spacious, and there's a TV room and a fully equipped kitchen. The showers and toilets are clean. The surrounding area is lively with convenient stores, and it feels very safe.

Top-notch hostel, very friendly, and super clean with multiple daily cleanings. The TV room is really nice. The kitchen is well-equipped and designed to encourage easy interaction with other guests.

The location was easy to find, and the room was quite spacious, conveniently located by the window. It had a bed curtain and a bedside lamp. The bathroom was shared but I never had to wait. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of supplies, offering great value for money. On the downside, the common area was a bit small, and there was hardly anywhere to sit during meal times due to the crowd. Also, the surrounding amenities were limited.

Overall, the stay was very pleasant. The environment was clean and the staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the common areas were a bit cramped, which made it a little inconvenient if you had a lot of or large luggage. Other than that, everything else was great!
