Sited by a beautiful ocean inlet basin. For exercise one can walk around that basin. Views of Mt Wellington. A 1.5km walk or a short Uber ride to copious restaurants and shops at Sylvia Park. Simple uncomplicated rooms that work well and are affordable for singles or groups and Conference attendees.

Great location, but terrible service and even worse facilities. The ground floor bathroom was swarming with ants, and there were plenty on the second floor too. I killed over a dozen every time I saw them. Avoid this place at all costs.

On our first night in Auckland, we chose this hotel. It was a quick 10-15 minute drive from the airport after picking up our rental car. Even though it was already dark around 5 PM, we found it easily with the navigation. The hotel has a large parking lot outside, which was a major selling point when I booked, as free parking was important to us. We had the buffet dinner at the hotel, and it was very rich and satisfying. The hotel facilities aren't the newest, but the surrounding environment is lovely. We were heading to Hobbiton the next day, so we didn't have much time to fully enjoy it. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance.

The hotel is next to Panmure Basin, the room I stayed can see the whole beautiful view. The room is big, very clean, feel comfortable to stay there.

My family has stayed here multiple times because it's close to our relatives' house. It offers great value for money, a rich breakfast, spacious rooms, and satisfactory cleanliness. The only drawback is that if you leave early in the morning, you can't take the breakfast to go.

Good overall... Deep and nice pool, cold though. Nice breakfast, Great views and the bed was fantastic. Something to get better, the smells of the rooms were not the best after check in, and the reception staff not very welcoming.

Faultless stay. Room very clean. Every staff member we encountered couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Lovely to even have the cleaning staff greet with a happy smile. Thank you we will be back.

My stay at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre felt a bit like stepping back into the 90s, which was interesting but also a bit polarizing. The hotel's setting is actually quite good, located by the lake and generally peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. It's perfect for those looking to relax. Parking is also convenient, which was a big plus for me as I was driving. However, upon entering the room, the age of the place was immediately apparent: the decor was old-fashioned, from the carpets to the furniture, giving it a distinct 'old-school hotel' vibe, reminiscent of a 90s business hotel. On the bright side, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough, so it didn't detract from the basic stay experience. As for amenities, they were pretty standard. There weren't any particularly modern features; it leaned more towards practical rather than luxurious. The service was decent though, with friendly staff who were quite responsive. The pros are its quiet location, pleasant environment, and reasonable value for money. The main drawback is definitely its age; if you're particular about how new a hotel feels, you might be a little disappointed. Overall, it's an 'aged but not bad' hotel, best suited for those who prioritize peace and practicality over modern decor.

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The hygiene was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient. It's a shame I didn't have time to explore the surroundings. I'll definitely come back next time.
