Chateau L Hospitalet Wine Resort and Spa
"We chose to stay here due to its proximity to Les Grands Buffets, where we had a reservation. It is, to my understanding, the only five-star hotel in Narbonne, which raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below that standard. On arrival, we were immediately directed towards wine experiences. When I explained that I am pregnant and therefore unable to drink, this was repeatedly overlooked and wine tasting was still encouraged. I appreciate this is a wine-focused resort (booked prior to knowing I was pregnant), but it felt as though anything I said was not listened to. The hotel is also extremely isolated, with no nearby dining options within several miles. We arrived at 2:30pm to find the restaurant closed, and there were no suitable food options available at the bar for someone with pregnancy restrictions. They were only able to provide me stale bread and butter, which was not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. Our suite, while spacious, was located in a separate outbuilding and felt very isolated. Access required navigating an uneven stone staircase, which felt unsafe - particularly during pregnancy - and I needed assistance each time to avoid tripping. Upon entering the room, the doors had been left wide open despite the area being rife with mosquitoes (in April!). As a result, the room was filled with them (which we had to manually kill) and I sustained multiple bites. When we asked reception for basic medical items such as antihistamine or bite cream, none were available, meaning we now have to arrange transport to the nearest pharmacy over 6 miles away. The pool area was also disappointing, appearing unclean and poorly maintained, which made it unusable. Basic in-room amenities were lacking, including the absence of a full-length wardrobe suitable for dresses or suits. Breakfast service was similarly underwhelming. We were told room service was available, but when we ordered, we were informed that proper coffee (e.g. cappuccino) was not provided and that we should instead use the in-room Nespresso machine. For a five-star hotel, this is simply not acceptable - particularly when the quality of the coffee was, as expected, poor. We were not provided plates and there was no table/chairs to eat the food from, so we had to eat from a shelf in our room. Overall, this stay did not reflect a five-star experience in either service, facilities, or attention to guest needs. I would not return, nor would I recommend it."
Hôtel le Parc - la Table de Franck Putelat
"We were given room 4 on the 2nd floor. There is a large balcony, with dining table for 2 on one side and comfortable chairs on the other side, overlooking lush greenery. Very private yet you can feel the cold morning breeze. The bed was very comfortable with sockets beside the bed- a plus! The shower and lavatory is covered by a black sheath curtain- shower pressure was strong. Shampoo conditioner and liquid soap were heavenly. Free coffee capsules, and some treats from the refrigerator like olives etc. There was a welcome treat of delicious blackberries, breadsticks and some Apricot pastry- everything was delicious. There was also an evening treat of chocolate waffle - also very delicious. Free coffee capsules. Breakfast is a MUST! You won’t be disappointed. It’s just very good and so much. The sheep yogurt and blueberry yogurt were very good. Service was impressive, our waitress Anissa was very informative and served with a smile. I can’t wait for our Tuesday dinner - will make a review after."
Domaine d'Auriac - Relais & Châteaux
"What a warm welcome. Immediately you feel the warm hospitality. A very nice place, in a beautiful park. The rooms have something, really well decorated and charming. And the restaurant. Excellent food and service. A good selection of excellent wines. "
Ibis Carcassonne Est la Cité
"Great value for a short trip with the most friendly and helpful staff. Despite arriving far too early for check in, we were swiftly accommodated and able to start out exploring sooner than expected. Very clean and comfortable bed, the room was on the small side for two but not an issue for us, plenty of areas to sit and we were out most of the day exploring. The bed was large and very comfortable with good pillows. Blackout curtains meant we slept in longer than we would normally on a city break!!! Breakfast was excellent, buffet with sensible use of trays to clear your table after eating. Lots of choice and lovely bread and pastries. Hot food also if required. Coffee and juice from machine which I felt were better quality than to be expected, plenty of options for hot drinks. The evening meal was delicious on both evenings we tried it and was very welcome after a long day walking in the two cities. It was lovely to see families enjoying the small pool and an added extra for a city break. It is a long walk into the Cite but we really embraced this opportunity to see the local area. We felt safe walking and the locals in the area were friendly and able to advise on direction. The hotel provides maps to help you navigate. I confess we did indulge in a snack in the local Macdonald’s as just around the corner and the best I have used, clean and prompt service, excellent coffee!!! There are Lidl and Aldi around the corner from the hotel so no issues preparing a snack for a busy day out. Our only issue on the trip was transport from the airport. The shuttle bus is prompt but fills quickly and is only there for each flight. Can be a long walk to your hotel from the stops in the city. To get a taxi you must ask at the information desk to book one on arrival and this took considerable time. €23 a single trip. We found it impossible to pre book a taxi to meet us at the airport. On return we asked our hotel to book a taxi to the airport which we were anxious about arriving, the team at the hotel were great and checked in on its progress to assure us when it would arrive. Again €23 return trip. If you enjoy exploring a local area this hotel will suit, if you are unable to walk far maybe look nearer into the cite or in the City. There are plenty of options. For us this was a great stay and can recommend."
Hôtel l'Aragon
"Very careful and genial location"
Logis hôtel et Restaurant la Bastide Cabezac
"Six friends went for New Year’s Eve.. one in a wheelchair.. one with crutches and one quite elderly.. we were all treated the utmost respect and help was on hand the whole time. The food, the wine, the staff and the atmosphere was wonderful.. all the food and drink was included in the price so no unexpected surprises there. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff.. for non alcohol drinkers there was a choice of fizzy water fruit juice or coke etc.. so everyone was catered for. We have all also been for quite a few Sunday lunches during the summer as we are all fortunate to live quite close.. for any visitors to the area at any time of year me and all my friends highly recommend La Bastide.. not one of the cheapest .. but in our opinion.. one of the best."
Hotel du Mas
O'Bonheur de Hamma
"Privatized moment in family. Great frame, innocuous cleanliness. There is room for being or nothing missing, jacuzzi, swimming pool, hammam, sauna ... Heads, gloves, towels, cream ... all is provided. The most exceptionally a meal provided by our guests, quality, careful and just delicious presentation. Agnes and Tiff are just great guests, both professionally and humanly. The location is in their image, PARFACH! We strongly recommend it. Get you a moment out of time in this idyllical space or everything is done in detail. Thanks yet. Lili and Greg"
Kyriad Carcassonne - AÉROPORT
"Everything was excellent, the hotel staff were very friendly!!!"
Hôtel Montmorency & Spa
"Very friendly staff, clean and perfect location for visiting the castle. Pollux, the hotel's mascot dog, will greet you enthusiastically at breakfast and if you deserve it you will also get a paw 🐾😉👍"
Ibis Styles Castelnaudary
"The room was spacious and we took advantage of the pool. Abundant and varied breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was a little slow because it was full but the food was good."
Hotel du Chateau et Spa Carita
"Right next to the Navarre gateway. The location cannot be beaten. Well laid out and organised for visitors to the Citadel. Breakfasts had lots of locally produced items."
