Glenavon House Hotel

Glenavon House Hotel ★★★

📍 52 Drum Rd, Cookstown

"Stayed here 20 odd years ago with my children. Stayed over New Year for 2 night with my children and 4 grandchildren. Few issues with 2 of the rooms which were sorted right away. Fantastic staff on reception and cleaning staff. Fantastic meals all round over the two days and staff managed to squeeze us in on New Year’s Day as we couldn’t get booked. Staff in restaurant so friendly and helpful. Only downside we were told kids allowed in pool until 2. Told kids if they get up early and get dressed and have breakfast they could get a swim just before checkout on 2nd January. Headed to pool to be told they weren’t allowed in until after 2 even though pool was empty. Some very upset kids. Never had this before in a hotel. In saying that it wouldn’t put us if going back. We will prepare kids next time."

Creighton Hotel

Creighton Hotel ★★★

📍 Fermanagh Street, Municipal District of Ballybay - Clones

"Stayed here for a family event and it was just the lovliest experience. The refurbished bedrooms are gorgeous, roomy, bright, a super comfortable bed and a huge shower. Very good food, not fancy but well prepared and served and really tasty. But it was the staff that made our stay, every single person we met was friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely want to make their guests happy. It's a traditional country town hotel, not as smart or modern as new hotels, but honestly the better for it. It is spotless, well run and really a great place to stay or to hold an event. "

"My wife and I called in here on a Saturday evening for a bite to eat and a drink, on our way home. Got a bar menu from the main bar and took a seat at a table in the nice outside patio area. After about 15 minutes, when no bar staff had approached us, I went back to the bar, where there was a cluster of 3-4 bar staff standing. I asked to order 2 small bottles of wine. One of the barman, or barboys, as they were mostly quite young, told me they only sold wine by the glass. Thought that was strange, as I had recently attended an event at the hotel and bought small bottles of wine on that occasion. OK, I let that go and tried to order our food of the menu. Choose 3 items of their small plate selection. The the barman studiously entered our items into his computer terminal. Just when he'd finished, an older barman, standing beside his colleague, turned round and told me that they weren't doing that menu tonight! Why did they give me that menu then? What a comedy of errors! We cut our losses and went on to another location, where the staff knew what they were doing!"

"We went to the Hillgrove Hotel for our baby boy’s christening meal. We were in the Toulouse suite which was set up perfectly when we arrived and was a great venue for a meal with young children. The food and service was super and we will definitely be back again in the future. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely day!"

"This seems to be the only hotel in Omar, and it's very nice. This is my third stay. The scenery is beautiful and the place is quiet. The Irish breakfast is à la carte, and the mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms are delicious."

"Flavoursome meal although staff were creative with bill, steak+chips is an extra £6 for chips, chicken curry is +£3 for chicken, bottled tap water is £3.50 per bottle and the early bird special has to be paid for before 6:00 for the £30 price, regardless of what staff tell you"

"My husband & I stayed in The Valley Hotel on Sunday 10th August after the Cuilceagh Boardwalk!! It was my birthday week!! The staff at this hotel upgraded our room-- it was fabulous- fluffy bathrobes; beautiful Ritual products; delicious fresh coffee we brewed in the coffee machine; bottled water; a bottle of chilled bubbly 🍾 with chilled glasses upon arrival 😀 We received such a wonderful friendly welcome from the lovely Lisa 😍 She continued to be helpful throughout the evening. We enjoyed delicious fish & chips & huge burger that evening. All round amazing experience. Thank you so much to all the staff(especially Lisa!) Greg & Claire Dixon"
