Résidence Odalys les Balcons d'Auréa

Was going to give a good review, but £30 taken from my credit card on checkout i found on arriving home, their error they admitted finally after 4 days, (charged me for parking ?????? when i was a Crystal ski guest and arrived by mini bus transfer ????? (gave them a chance to refund me but here we are week later still no refund in sight). Nice apartments in nice position but wouldn't come again due to the theft of my £30 on checkout. Also arrived 11pm Sat night reception closed no call to give me the key code to get in to collect my room and keys !!!!!! (was very lucky another guest arrived at same time and had the code). Had emailed them a week before for this info but the didn't even reply. Very quiet resort but good easy connections to main area, snow ok, 2 x supermarkets open till about 8pm, both about same really (both close 12.30 till 4pm) but one is literally across the road so easy. Nice pizza takeaway place across road too, tried it for my last night was nice and reasonable prices. Pool ok as free but don't bother paying for "spa" as its tiny and rubbish, not worth the £45 a week. Rooms ok large, good kitchen, modern, nice views. Ski lockers fine in basement too. No British tv, so take a firestick etc. Wifi ok and free. Weird check out list of stuff you have to do, but its because reception is closed on transfer day Saturday which is really stupid but its France i guess ??????? Ski area great, top tip (that Crystal ski failed to give) you can book a timeslot for the Pic Blanc cable car to do the Sarenne run, on their website for free. Saves over an hour queue at top for last bit up to 3300m. As i said unfortunately i wouldn't recommend or return here, as if they take money "in error" from your credit card (req for deposit) they are in no hurry to refund it, i've had no apology either so i would avoid the Odalys Balcons D'Aurea, go somewhere else with a different apartment firm. Shame.

Comfort apartment with ideal location for skiing - on skiboots straight to the slopes! Shops and restaurants just next to the building. Everything on one place, you can can stay within the resort or easily can go on ski to the large one in Alpe d'huez.

Excellent apartment in superb location. Clean and neat with working utilities. Near to lovely pizza bar. Staff always available and extremely helpful. Close to a number of cycling and walking trails. First rate.

Big rooms with mountain view, small, accessible and easy to navigate resort (without the need to move your car), reasonable prices, swimming pool in the residence, plenty of attractions in the village
