"The room was clean and location was convenient however the amenities provided were limited to only a soap bar, and the receptionist is never contactable."

Hotel do Mercado

Hotel do Mercado ★★

📍 Rua Engenheiro Silvério Pereira da Silva Nº2, Aveiro

"The hotel is located just a short walk from the centre of town where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars. We were giving a real warm welcome by Jacqueline who explained where all the attractions and nice restaurants were. Importantly she helped us with free parking just a short distance from the hotel. The room and bathroom are spacious and if staying for a long time plenty of cupboard space. The room is also very clean and bright. Only stayed for one night but highly recommend this hotel"

📍 R. dos Mercadores 24, Aveiro

"The room is small, the toilet is also small, and the shower head is a bit broken. The bed didn't feel very clean and the air conditioner didn't work. Overall, it was very bad. I will definitely not stay in this hotel again in the future. Step on thunder"

Hotel As Americas
8.4 (85 reviews)

Hotel As Americas ★★★★

📍 R. Eng. Von Haff 20, Aveiro

"Aveiro is a quaint city - access to main attractions was easy from hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff helpful with luggage storage. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend it."

Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa
8.8 (107 reviews)

Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 Cais da Fonte Nova 5, Aveiro

"Check in, by Marta, was efficient and pleasant. Our room was on the 5th floor- nice and quiet. Marta apologised for the disruption caused by improvements being undertaken, but we had been informed of this before our arrival. Our room was a corner room, with plenty of light from the windows. Lovely and clean. Stocked mini bar. Safe. Plenty of storage space. Black coloured furniture made locating items a little more difficult! Powerful and easy to operate shower. Excellent breakfast in the downstairs restaurant. A great hotel and a great stay."

Hotel Moliceiro

📍 R. Dr. Barbosa de Magalhães 15/17, Aveiro

"Perfect. Central location, full breakfast, everything very clean and organized. I'll definitely be back."

"There are some small details that are nice. However the room was very small (definitely not the size promoted). There was a noise of a washing machine, probably from hotel laundry, during all night which made it hard to sleep. The water from shower came out rusty yellow initially and the hot/cold regulator was broken. For a 5 star, it was not the best experience."

Hotel do Mercado ★★
"I stayed in August 2026 for one night during our on the road. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the hotel and is located in the centre, about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The lift, the room was not very big but for one night it had everything, a small closet including for those who need it. We had a small balcony. The area was quiet, we sleeped well (inconvenient coats separately, but it is now difficult to find all the comfort!). The breakfast served on the ground floor was not very rich, but it had everything, both sweet and salted, though not very different; sin! I would advise those who come in in the car for the position ."

"The accommodation is old and run down. The facade is old and the interior is the same and is not preserved in the slightest. Access to the terrace and the bedroom area is via old/dirty stairs. The stay isn't even worth €40, which was around the amount I paid for one night in a King room, for two people. The accommodation is overpriced and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The room had no insulation whatsoever, white walls with a lack of paint because they had stains, poor decorative finishes (it seems like they decorated all the elements without any panache and care), high ceiling with cobwebs, behind the TV there was only dust when We positioned it to our liking, we checked, and you can hear practically all the sounds and movements that occur in the rooms next door and in the hallway. Around 10pm you could only hear a dog barking because animals are allowed in the rooms. The floor is also parquet and is therefore not "hot". The bathroom area is aged, with old windows, the bathtub jet has no pressure at all and is rusty, when it was set to hot water it lost even more pressure, and it was also completely flooded with water. Positive points: the air conditioning and TV were working and the sleeping mattress was not bad. An experience never to be repeated and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even if they pay more than €30 for a night here! The photos of the rooms do not correspond to the current reality as they must have been taken at the time of the opening."
