We stayed three nights in the hotel's suite, the largest and most expensive room in the hotel @ EUR1480 per night. There were many positive things but also a few disappointing + The suite was LARGE. In addition to a good sized bathroom with a big tub and nice marble, there was a good sized bedroom and a good size living room with couch, chairs, desk, etc +The views were great. There were 5 double windows across two sides of the suite, two overlooking the outside seating area of the hotel and three overlooking the Palais des Papas rear exit +The lobby area was relaxing. High ceilinged with a glass roof, good bar service for afternoon cocktails with some interesting twists on traditional cocktails +The breakfast was excellent. Large table laid with various fruit compotes, breads, ham, cheeses, and fresh juices +All the staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful -For EUR1480 a night, one would expect a bit more than a small fridge with four "free" bottles of mineral water. There was no kettle or coffeemaker. -While the bathroom was cleaned well, the heavy curtains were all badly stained. We get that the whole point it to furnish the suite with old traditional carpets, curtains, artwork, etc but old doesn't mean dirty We may well stay at La Mirande again but we would like to see cleaner curtains and some basic coffee-making facilities in the room.
