Visited the gardens, buildings and museum. We had lunch outside the Orangery in beautiful surroundings. The food was very good. The staff attentive and service good. This is in idyllic surroundings, very beautiful and quite peaceful. The facilities are very clean.

It honestly felt like I stepped into a storybook. The whole place has this calm, old-world charm that makes you instantly slow down and breathe deeper. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous, and I found myself walking through them every morning just to soak it all in. The room had so much character—rustic, cozy, and full of little details that made it feel special. It’s not your usual hotel room, and that’s exactly what I loved about it. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and even though it’s an old building, it had everything I needed. The people working there were lovely—kind, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a good time. We had dinner at the restaurant on-site, and it was delicious. You can really taste the freshness in their dishes, and the setting made it even better.

Palatul Brukenthal in Avrig is not just a stunning historical site with gorgeous gardens—it's also in a perfect location if you're looking to explore the beauty of the Făgăraș area or just disconnect and relax in nature. It’s peaceful, green, and feels like a hidden escape from the noise of daily life. But honestly, what made my stay truly special was Alex from the staff. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure we had the best experience possible. He gave us great tips about the area, helped us feel at home, and always greeted us with a smile. You can tell he cares about the place and the people who visit it.If you visit, make sure to take a walk through the gardens and chat with Alex—he’s a big part of what makes this place feel so special.

Excellent location, amazing staff and the food was to die for. For myself I would say that if you are interested for a great family time close to Sibiu but now to close while having also all the amenities of a great hotel, and if you're also interested in have a close to kingship experience it's a must try. In conclusion feel free to try it for a small morcel of Romanian history and architecture.

Brukenthal Palace in Avrig is a hidden gem! The gardens are beautifully maintained, the palace is full of history, and the atmosphere is peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served delicious food. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience a piece of Transylvanian history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
