Hotel Don Diego by Ĥ ★★★
"I want to thank Javier for the enormous favor he did me. At midnight, I needed something, and he very kindly helped me and solved it...professional, attentive, and very empathetic!! It's not easy to find people like that. Congratulations on having such people at the hotel! A 10/10 hotel!"
Melia Isla Canela ★★★★
"Early June stay: We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this lovely spacious hotel on the Spanish coast and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff went above and beyond to make our holiday special. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and always happy to help with a smile. We were an extended family of Grandparents and daughter and partner plus their toddler aged 2 1/2. The entertainment team deserves a special mention. Fran, Mario, Tiemo and Yanos were outstanding throughout our stay. There were other members that I don’t have their names and those were equally great. All their energy, enthusiasm and genuine friendliness made every day enjoyable. Whether organising activities, chatting with guests they created such a fun atmosphere and worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had a great time. The team were due to start performing for the evening entertainment shows the week after we left so we will have to return to see them. The food was excellent with an impressive variety at every meal. There was something for everyone, with fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. It included a gluten free section which we needed because our grandson was recently diagnosed as intolerant. The quality of the food was consistently high and we looked forward to every meal. A tip would be to try the pool bar for food some lunchtimes rather than the main restaurant as a change - the food was excellent. The hotel itself was spotless. The housekeeping team clearly take great pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout the rooms and public areas. The facilities were superb, especially the padel courts and table tennis area, which were well maintained and provided hours of entertainment. There was always plenty to do during the days including quizzes and drink making get-togethers organised by the entertainment team. Another highlight was the drinks selection. It was refreshing to see well-known premium brands of alcohol included rather than unfamiliar alternatives, making the all-inclusive experience feel that little bit more luxurious. Finally, the bar food staff were brilliant—efficient, cheerful and always serving delicious snacks with excellent service throughout the day. A few minor things that could be improved are the temperature of the main pool , the comfort of some of the sun-beds and the WiFi near the Tennis and Padel courts. The beach is very close and is accessed by a long wooden walkway. It was spotless and really quiet and allowed for lovely early evening walks paddling in the shallow sea water listening to podcasts. The weather whilst we were away was cloudless blue skies and temperatures between 27-30C Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The combination of fantastic staff, excellent food, immaculate cleanliness, first-class facilities and a wonderful atmosphere made for an unforgettable holiday. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend it"
Parador de Ayamonte ★★★★
"When we first turned up, we thought this was a fairly standard hotel. But the more we used its facilities, the more we saw it was well designed, with excellent facilities. There are superb views over the river Guadiana and Portugal, from all the bars and restaurants and most if not all rooms. The staff were very friendly. We had an evening meal in a fairly empty restaurant- no idea this should be, the food was excellent, one of the best meals I’ve had in a Parador."

"Recommended hotel for destination except parking not available the rest is well kept bed good bath good"
Barceló Isla Canela ★★★★
"What I liked least was the cleanliness of the rooms and hallways. Everything else was quite good."
Vila Gale Isla Canela ★★★★
"Having last visited this hotel in 2016 under the iberostar banner, we arrived like expected it to be updated, we got checked in. Felt like there was a lot of information to take in. The room which we picked was the budget one no complaints. The complaints I do have is the entertainment team. The music is on far too loud if you are listening to music with noise cancelling headphones in, especially when doing Zumba, the crowd is very close and still choose to use a microphone, they split our time and we moved back to the room. My wife has mobility issues, that day couldn't make it down the beach, the sunlounghers around the pool seemed to have towels on them, but nobody there, I watched someone rip the notice up that was left to say don't do it. In my eyes this is a manager's job to remove the stuff, another day I witnessed people reserving them ,then go straight to the beach, obviously when full you don't have enough sun loungers. Food ,the quality I must say the actual ingredients were good, but you could give a bit more choice and be more adventurous with your accomplishments, like sauces etc, on three consecutive sitting the same meat. A shout out to Mohammad who took pride in his work and to learn. Another thing was descriptions of the food into English were incorrect, one instance and I put this down to laziness, was a dish was offered in the al carte restaurant, so the interpretation could have been used, not many staff speak English, thankfully Google translate is a godsend, the staff are very friendly and do their best to understand, the English lady at the restaurant entrance is a credit to your hotel, friendly with everyone, always time for a little chat. So all in all a good stay"
Playacanela ★★★★
"Nice hotel, good location, the food was good, but it could be some improvements (sometimes we need to wait to have eggs or grilled meat). The pool area was fantastic. The bar and services were great. The entertainment team was fantastic. From Gonçalo and José to the ladies the entire team. Their friendliness and good spirits were contagious. They made our stay a lot of fun and made us feel very welcome."

"We came to try to rest, but it was impossible. He touched us down a family with small children who didn't stop until high hours of the night to drag chairs or tables and the next morning, shouting on the porch they and their parents, The hotel is a very good place to stay in the hotel, and it is a good place to stay in the hotel. The TV is obsolete because it doesn't see either the 1st or the 2nd chain. "

"In less than 24 hours they stole all the money we had in the apartment and still treated the dog in the apartment badly, we made a complaint at the reception and a complaint at the police and we asked to stay in possession of the second key. The responsible people have not helped to solve the problem, nor have they assumed any responsibility. There is a huge security failure in this place, any official has access to the second key and so anyone can enter the apartment whenever it wants, even without any reason."
