Hotel MetraSquare Reviews

Check in was fast but was told that the lift was being serviced and had to wait 40 minutes before we can use the lift. Apparently there was only 1 out of 2 lifts which was working. The windows and window panes were dusty from inside. There was even a boxers hung at the aircond compressor outside on the balcony. Early morning we inquired at the reception on late check out and additional payments for extension of room usage. We were informed that extra hour of usage of the room will be charged at RM45.00 per hour and we informed that we wanted to extend for 2 hours as we were afraid that our son's football tournament will finish late. The night shift staff took down the note and told us he will get the morning shift staff to extend and we have to come to the reception before the check out time. At about 11.00am, when we wanted to pay for the extension, we were told that our room has another booking and we can't extend. We asked whether any other available rooms we can get but was told the hotel is fully booked. We were frustrated and annoyed as they should have called us earlier to inform that we didn't get the extension and we could have made arrangements to pack and carry our belongings when we went out earlier that morning.

I did not enjoy the stay at all. At first, I thought it was decent. Until I stepped in the toilet, which was not properly cleaned. The bedsheet is another thing, there are still stains!! Horrible!! For RM400, this stay definitely feels like a rip-off. The whole atmosphere feels a bit spooky. On top of everything, the lift doesn't function well. On the same day I arrived, I had to take the stairs to the 6th floor. 2nd day as well; had to go down by stairs. If you plan to come here with your moms and dads, please avoid it at all costs.

No towel provided. No toiletries provided too,only 1 soap. No glass/cup and spoon provided,how to make coffee/tea.No remote TV,no remote aircond. Aircond cannot adjust the temperature. 1 lif not functioning, another 1 in bad condition.

We had a lovely stay—the place was spotless and the staff were very welcoming.

The hotel is cheap, breakfast at Ames is good. The room is below average

Unexpected so run down hotel. Aircon compressor so loud that can't sleep. Door need to adjust, can't close well. Door safety lock nearly drop off. Poor maintenance. Breakfast is super good.

Buffet breakfast is excellent. Staff courteous and helpful. Surrounding apartment looks deserted, probably need more cameras surveillance. Safe environment.

Spaces room at reasonable price. Located closed to the toll.

They described the room with 30 m² space. With a refrigerator. When we first got our room, it was really small, with no fridge. Then we called the reception, they changed our room to the next door. The new room was spacious. However the fridge is not functioning at all. I think the bathroom could be cleaner, and they could provide extra towel for floor mat. It was more like a homestay rather than hotel. Breakfast was okay, because it was served by AMES hotel. Parking was okay.
