Amethyst Napa Hotel & Spa

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, cleaned room ever day, Breakfast was ok, same as any other hotel nothing special. Shame the orange juice can’t be fresh. Overall nice place to stay.

This was our 4th time staying at the Amethyst Hotel, the room, bed, facilities were excellent as usual. As it was my birthday during our stay, I had a lovely platter of fruit and a bottle of wine delivered to our room. Koko was an absolute delight and ,considering it was 4 years since our last visit, he still remembered us. The restaurant staff were lovely and very efficient and the food was very good. Our only disappointment was that the younger barstaff have no idea how to chat or engage with people, they were quick to serve (no complaints there) but they were too quick to get back to their phones. Emiliano? was fantastic but sadly no longer works there. We would come back again but probably not as all inclusive.

We are completely satisfied with our stay at the hotel. It is a great choice for all age groups, and we had a wonderful holiday here. I would especially like to say a few words about the entertainer Coco, who was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday. Both professionally and personally, he is incredibly creative, unique and talented. His personality really stands out, and this was especially noticeable during both the daytime activities and the evening shows. Especially the ones created by himself. We particularly loved how he involved the audience and made it possible for guests to become part of the performances. He manages to create the atmosphere and energy of an entire animation team all by himself. His enthusiasm, creativity and unique personality made our holiday even more memorable. A truly exceptional entertainer ! Thank you for everything ✨🌞💙

I honestly can’t thank Coco, the Amethyst entertainer, enough for how amazing he has been with our little girl, Ella. After a difficult experience at the kids’ park left Ella feeling anxious, she didn’t want to join the evening entertainment like she normally would. I explained what had happened to Coco, and he went out of his way to make her feel comfortable, distracting her, getting her involved, giving her a front-row seat for her favourite Michael Jackson performer, and even letting her help call the bingo numbers! By the end of the night, Ella was back to her happy, confident self, and we are so grateful to Coco for helping turn a difficult evening into such a special memory. Coco is an incredible entertainer, from balloons and face painting to capoeira and fire breathing. We always look forward to seeing him, and we highly recommend coming to Amethyst to see him! Coco, thank you for making our family holiday so memorable. You truly are incredible! ❤️

We chose this hotel due to the good reviews and amenities. Its location is about 45 mins from the airport, 15 mins by bus to the main part of Ayia Napa and around 7 min walk to a beautiful (but crowded) beach. Upon arrival (after midnight) we were greeted by a lovely man on reception. He took us over the the annex part of the hotel which is situated over the road. Being all inclusive I did expect that there would have been sandwich’s provided (as is the case in all other hotels we’ve stayed at) but not this one and due to the time, everywhere was shut. We were provided with refillable water bottles and a bottle of water each in the room. The annex was rather disappointing given the grandeur of the main hotel, and it wasn’t that much cheaper to stay in this part either (rooms limited when there are 5 of you). There is a lovely, smaller and quieter pool this side but obviously if you want to get drinks that you’ll ur paid for you have to cross back over roads, not exactly relaxing. The room itself is pretty basic. Beds and pillows really comfy and good air con. The standard of cleanliness wasn’t great, our balcony was covered in bird excrement and wasn’t once cleaned despite me requiring this happen. Likewise, sides in the kitchen were not cleaned and some of the bowls etc were filthy (thankfully we didn’t need to use them) . If you’re self catering there’s adequate facilities in the room. Beware if you drop even a morsel of food as you will be invaded by ants (that bite). The shower also failed to drain well, there was a broken chair that nearly caused an injury when it was sat on and not enough glasses or cups vs ratio to people. When I asked at reception I was-told to ask in the restaurant. There is a hairdryer and lovely shower gel in the rooms, also plenty of toilet paper. Over the main side it is much nicer. Sunbeds are comfy although they got taken early. The weekends were really busy with locals who showed very little respect for their surroundings yet seemed to receive preferential treatment. The pool in the hotel is lovely, nice and warm and not too deep. All staff we encountered were very helpful, friendly and worked hard. Here was only one night we were disappointed with the food, think it was the Mediterranean night, otherwise there is meat, fish and gorgeous salads. Oriental night was our favourite. Same goes for breakfast and lunch, great variety and an omelette chef. Drinks were ok, I enjoyed the wine (with some lemonade) and during lunch and dinner it was table service. Some of the spirits were not great. The pool bar did get busy but the queues went down quick. The snack bar was also a great addition and the snacks available were enjoyed by us all, esp after a day at the beach. Toilets around the pool were kept clean, there is a need for a toilet in reception. What I disliked was the extra charges for things. 20€ if you wanted to hire a cabana at the foot of the pool. Fair enough if there were enough beds for paying guests

The food was awful no seasoning and service was terrible and If You don't have all inclusiv e You will need to spend over 1000euros to eat the third meal and to buy water

We really enjoyed out stay. The location of the hotel was perfect distance from the city center and all the partying but also close enough that you could go there in about 15 minutes with the bus. The entertainment guy (yes, one guy) who did everything by himself was really entertaining and brought a smile to our faces every day.
