AMAZING! We went for just over a week and stayed in a private pool room leading out onto decking overlooking the pool, which was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are lovely as aesthetically pleasing. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Everyone from reception, to breakfast, to the staff showing you to your room were always so smiley and friendly. A special mention to Ramsey, who showed us to our room when we first arrived. He was so, so lovely and immediately made us feel comfortable and happy. He took the time to explain everything in the room to us, which was such a lovely touch after travelling. The room itself was beautiful and very clean. The cleaners came every morning to make up the room and restock the mini fridge, and then in the evening they would bring fresh water and even leave chocolates on our pillows — such a lovely little touch! The only small criticism I would have is that the floors weren’t always the cleanest. I’m not sure if they mop them every day, but it really wasn’t a big deal. The beds are also on the harder side, which isn’t necessarily a negative, but I’m quite light so I personally found them a little firm. 🍳 Breakfast — 10/10 Breakfast was honestly 10/10. There was a lovely buffet selection as well as a menu where you could order eggs however you wanted. The Kaginas were amazing and definitely became a favourite! 🏊♀️ The pool The pool area is absolutely beautiful. There’s even a little robot that cleans the pool every night, which I thought was great. There were always staff around the pool checking if you needed anything, whether that was food or drinks, and they were constantly greeting you with a good morning or good afternoon. Everyone was so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. 🎶 The music I absolutely loved the music. I’d actually read a review before coming saying that the music was too loud, and that was somehow cause for a low star rating but I totally disagree. The volume around the pool was perfect for the atmosphere, and there was a DJ every day playing really, really good music. It made sitting around the pool and sunbathing so much more enjoyable and relaxing. It’s also worth remembering that AYA is a day-club-style hotel, so music and atmosphere are a big part of the experience. Yes, the music can be at a higher volume around the pool, but that’s what creates the amazing atmosphere and vibes. We personally loved it and thought it suited the hotel perfectly. It never felt unpleasantly loud, and as soon as you’re inside your room, you can’t hear it. 📍 Location I also really liked that the resort is set back from the main town, as it makes it feel much more peaceful and private. It’s around a 5–10 minute drive into town, so you’re still close enough to everything while having a quieter resort to come back to. The only thing to be aware of is that you’ll need a taxi or hire a car if you want to go anywhere. Taxis can be quite expensive for such
