The Freij Resort

The room was clean , but the photo of room and reality is different- it’s much older that in the pictures . WiFi is not statable, it was interrupted once in a while.

There were ants, the rooms were not cleaned every day. The manager called us and told us not to ask for the rooms to be cleaned every day, when we asked for the sheets and towels to be changed. The food was the same every day, tasteless food, so we had to eat outside. When bathing, the water would leak and the entire bathroom would flood. The pool was not bad, but despite all this, we were still not satisfied.

Upon arrival the overall look is great but then it all goes wrong. Where do I start ! The towels .. they stink but in 7 nights I had to fight for them offen being given 1 floor mat as a hand towel and bath towel to use for both between 2 of us. When confronted I was told I could only have clean towels every 2 days .. however the cleaner took the towels herself including my beach towels that I brought as they don’t supply them .. I never got those back… now the cleaner .. walked into our room at 8am without knocking and said she wanted to clean while we were in bed .. when I said no she kissed her teeth . This happened twice then I started putting the do not disturb sign on… shampoo and conditioner was provided on first day then was told conditioner had run out .. on day 5 I complained again and miraculously they found conditioner! Also the shower .. water leaks out of the shower tray flooding the whole room . On day 6 I slipped and fell smacking my head on the wall.. I told them and they told me it’s ok. Key cards .. you only get one , now onto our swim up balcony .. we got 2 chairs one was broken so I asked for a good one .. I never got it but on day 2 someone from one of the other rooms swam up and took our good chair and gave us another broken one . I complained and they gave us 2 good chairs .. also being end of the pool we got all the dirt , hair clumps and any rubbish.. (McDonald’s sauce pots) and a fake nail. I did not swim there once . Will also mention the smell of **** was rife every morning and evening . On check out I checked under the bed to make sure we hadn’t left anything and found a thong a bottle of orange juice and a pack of cigarettes . Not ours. We did however forget our portable charger and I emailed to say I will send someone to collect it but I’ve been ignored. My 3 teenage children had their own room .. same issues 2 hand towels between 3 to use for everything. Also one key card and a temperamental air con. Now you probably wonder why I stayed 7 days… as a family of 5 and on a public holiday it’s almost impossible to find accommodation. This hotel has the right concept but no management ,staff or funding to fulfill it.

Great apartment very clean with everything you need in a great location ❤️ Very pleasant staff especially the ladies on reception xx

The Hotel's aquapark / water slides were not operational during our staying and I was told they're not in service this season, though it was not mentioned in their website, and we chose this hotel because of the water park for the kids. However! the staff in the reception were so nice, friendly and helpfull! an extraordinary service! In addition, we booked half baord and found out that the hotel cooperates with a near by Italian fusion restaurant thaT happened to be astonishing! Highly recommanded!

The room was clean and had access to a private pool. Breakfast was okay. Public beach is close by.
