Pu Luong Riverside Lodge

Clinging to a hillside with idyllic views up and down the valley this is a place of ultimate relaxation. By day you will have troupes of butterflies to keep you company and by night you are serenaded by a frog chorus in the paddy fields. The food was good, but options a bit limited if you don't eat meat. Pancakes, fruit and egg for breakfast. The staff will arrange scooter hire at $15 per day or $10 for a half day. Highly recommended. The roads here are relatively quiet and it was huge fun burning up and down the valley to the water wheels and the falls. This would be a 5-star review except that the pool was out of action during our stay (it had been a factor in our choice of accommodation). Also, even though we'd booked a double, there was only a twin room available on our first night so we had to move mid-stay. That said, the staff were very accommodating of a late check-out

My stay at Pu Luong Riverside Lodge was the highlight of my trip to Vietnam. This beautiful lodge nestled within the ricefields is the perfect place to stay in Pu Luong. The staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and the food is delicious! I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit the north of Vietnam!

This is the 4th time I have returned to Pu Luong, this place is my favorite peaceful hideaway. The people of Pu Luong are gentle and hospitable. Every time I come here, I feel like I'm coming home. The wild but gentle scenery and Hieu waterfall are what draw me back here many times. Thank you Pu Luong for giving me full of memories.

An amazing place to stay!!!!! The scenery surrounding you is stunning and the private lodge rooms that you sleep in are really beautiful, I really enjoyed staying here. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious (and they accommodated us being vegetarian!). 10/10 would recommend to a friend. And the entire area of Pù Luông is so idillic and untouched. The homestay is also looking for volunteers to teach English to the staff, with free accommodation and food provided!

What a wonderful Homestay this is! Incredibly friendly and helpful people. We climbed the waterfall, swam and relaxed. The second day we made a walk to the water mills led by a guide from the homestay. She let us taste different plants and fruits. Awesome! Too bad we couldn't stay longer. This is a real gem!
