Amazing views, great service, regional products and recipes. We came here to celebrate our Easter lunch and it was an awesome experience. The location is lovely, the owner is extremely caring and every dish was made with attention and fresh products.

The most disrespectful racist hotel and restaurant in Germany. I was staying in the hotel with my family with my kids and after the breakfast they asked me to clean up under the table!!!! They also brought me hand broom and when I refused they told me “it is the rule in Germany”!!!!! It was a shock!! The restaurant manager “Daniel Lee” who brought to me the hand broom did not allow me to write a complain to the Hotel manager and told me “he is in hospital”, and when I told him I will write a review about this he laugh and told me go and write what ever you want! I asked him is it normal to make the guests clean under the tables! Honestly if it was German family do u make them clean under the table! He did not reply!! We have been living in Europe for 6 years now and we never ever experienced this kind of “Rule or Law”. And in the end he kicked us saying to me “go to another hotel”! Very racist restaurant ! NEVER EVER have we been treated this poorly as paying customers. No way to treat customers like this specially families with kids. The restaurant manager looked down on us and was disrespectful, discourteous, rude and ill mannered because I am wearing “hijab”. It’s almost 2023 & very sad to see that blatant racism still exists in this world. Will never, ever think about coming back.

Our family from the USA stayed at the Stausee hotel in July while visiting friends nearby and we were pleased with their recommendation. The rooms were spacious and clean and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning before starting our day. This is a good location to use as a base to explore the area and there are plenty of hiking and castles to visit. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mid-priced option.

Ruhig und nett gelegen am Stausee. Ausreichend Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Die Zimmer zur Seeseite sind größer und haben einen schönen Ausblick. Sehr ordentlich und sauber gepflegt. Leider entspricht die Größe des Bades nicht mehr den heutigen Erwartungen

Habe das Hotel spontan gebucht. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ok. Da ich am spät Nachmittag angereist war, konnte man mir einen kleinen Snack zubereiten. Das Abendessen war gut, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das gebuchte Zimmer mit Seeblick war geräumig. Leider war der Seeblick durch hohe Bäume kaum zu sehen. Dafür entschädigte der Spaziergang um den Staussee. Kostenloser Parkplatz vor dem Haus.

Das kleine Landhotel gefällt, die Zimmer sind ok, 3 Sterne sind angemessen. Sehr schön das Badezimmer. Besonders gefallen hat uns die abgetrennte Sitzecke an der Fensterfront zum Stausee, fast ein Wintergarten. Allerdings ist der Blick auf den Stausee durch inzwischen hochgewachsene Bäume arg begrenzt und entspricht nicht den Erwartungen entsprechend etlicher publizierter Fotos. Das ist sehr schade, trotzdem würde ich das Hotel bei einem erneuten Besuch wieder wählen. Beim inkludierten Frühstück war die Auswahl ausgezeichnet. Die Bedienung herzlich und freundlich. Auch das Abendessen war in einem angenehmen Ambiente. Schön: Möglichkeit zum kleinen Stauseespaziergang. Das Restaurant wird auch von Tagesbesuchern/Ausflüglern sowie für Festivitäten/Familienfeiern genutzt. Insgesamt sehr gut geeignet für einen Besuch der OutletCity Metzingen.
