We stayed here for 2 nights on our road trip around France. It’s in a beautiful spot on the hillside with amazing views. Fr the minute you arrive you feel like you’re in a medieval film set. The village, the buildings are stunning. Our room was huge we stayed in room 12. It’s a beautiful space but a little fusty, which could be expected with the furnishings being so old, we also thought that charging for the water in the mini bar was a bit rich given the cost of the stay. The bathroom was also huge but the bathing facilities were a bit strange. You had a huge marble bath that you would never have been able to fill in less than a few hours and it had a shower head over it so you had to stand / sit in the bath and use the shower head, challenging not to spray water everywhere. The commode loo was an interesting touch, albeit not a fan. The gym is tiny and aircon doesn’t work but the spa facilities are lovely. The pool area was also beautiful. We hired the bikes for the morning and it’s a great place to explore. We had lunch on the terrace one day and much was nice and dinner in the restaurant which was also good. The staff are helpful, it’s a great place for a couple of days.

This hotel is incredible. The whole experience of the setting, the room, the food and the service was exemplary. I cannot stress enough how perfect the restoration of the buildings is - everything is perfect enough without making it into a Disney castle! This is for VERY special occasions but it is well worth it.

Most spectacular hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The staff was absolutely incredible, so friendly and helpful the entire time. The spa is beautiful, the food is delicious and the views are breath-taking. 10/10 would recommend with great enthusiasm.

From the moment of arrival, attentive staff exceeded our high expectations. The Castle Suites are sublime; the vistas, wonderful; the spa, superb; the cuisine, accompanied by wines from the hotel’s own winery, outstanding. A faultless luxury hotel. We didn’t want to leave!

Everything was comfortable, my room was large and well prepared. We had a very good dinner. Service was perfect and everyone so kind. So we hope to come back in a future. It' s not so close to Milano but It has been a pleasure to stay at Chateau de Bagnols

We enjoyed the most amazing, excellent value, dinner at 1217, the gastronomique restaurant at the Chateau. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding - definitely Michelin star quality speaking from experience. The accommodation was surreal, living in a part of history. An inspiring location and well worth a visit.

The enviroment the castle was built in was great, it was overlooking the nearby village. The castle itself had a long history, the service was excellent. I love how creative the swimming pool was located. The was also a hummingbird, first I ever saw.-BH

Amazing hotel in a beautiful setting. Top tier experience. Rooms were perfection. The only thing that would have improved our experience is if the air conditioning worked and if housekeeping would have brought us the fan they offered and the iron we requested.
