Sotogrande Hotel Baguio Reviews

Our stay was great! It's not walking distance to the tourist spots but all of them are within the area and hailing a taxi is not a problem at all. We also prefer not to walk 😅 But if preferred, it's possible as everything is near the area! We tried their heated pool while it rained, and we really enjoyed it! Such an experience with a cold weather in Baguio! The breakfast buffet is awesome! We love everything and their menu differs per day! The original flavor taho, strawberry and ube are such a delight! I think the only missing is cereals. First time to eat strawberry champorado! 😁 At first I was hesitant if the room will have a fast wifi for me to work. Viola! The room as a router! I was able to work with ease! We love the smart TV -- you only need to sign in your own Netflix account. We love our room view. We don't have to go to SM to see the Baguio city lights.. we already have it in the room. We have a balcony overseeing the pool area as well! We so love our room! 😍 Only thing is maybe they should add another desk or longer desk. The TV is already in the table and there is no separate desk for laptop or if you are having snacks/dinner. We asked, but they don't have a spare table. I think they can also add another chair since the room is good for two. There's only one chair in the room but when we requested for it, they were able to provide. Our room also allowed us to feel the breeze of Baguio! We can turn-off the AC and open the windows protected by mosquito net! I was just amazed with this feature! We truly appreciate their prompt service whenever we call the reception. We don't need to call for follow-up! We love them! We love that there is a bathtub and hoping they can also provide bath robes for a perfect bath! 🙏 Truly, we love to be back to SotoGrande whenever in Baguio! 🫶 Thank you SotoGrande for an awesome experience!

Hotel is new and clean. Facilities are beyond our expectation. Buffet breakfast is superb. We will definitely come back to stay in this hotel.

Very clean room and cr, with pool and bath thub, the breakfast buffet was excellent. We had a great time and experience. We will surely comeback and will recommend to our family and friends. One more thing my favourite fruit mangosteen was served during breakfast.

Awesome stay… kind hotel staffs! enjoyed their heated pool but their gym is not yet well equipped (as of September 1, 2024)

The lobby was spacious and relaxing. The staff were really nice. Breakfast was amazing, every single day was different. I love that they also served taho (with the original flavor and ube and strawberry flavors too). We stayed there for 3 nights. It was good, especially that it’s just close to town. I’m not sure about the experience of other guests, but we’ll definitely come back. We felt relaxed and I loved the view from the balcony. Kudos!

we had a wonderful experience during our stay there. the room was spacious, the beds were nice and its amenities complete enough for our daily needs. There's quite variety of food during breakfast and most importantly it's location is friendly enough to go to many touristic highlight in Baguio.

The hotel was nice and clean but the thing is i request a quiet room upon booking at trip.com…when we reach at the hotel we want to take a rest for a while before we have a business meeting, pero d kame naka rest dahil ang door sobrang lakas ng pagsarado , ung mga housekeeper nag chichismisan sa hallway, then meron group of families na napapalibutan ung room namin at napaka ingay nila mga kids d sinsaway sa pagdoorbell , then nag sisigawan sa hallway..i ask for help at the frontdesk i called them twice and nag paakayta sila ng guard sabi nila lilipat kame in higher floor pero d nagawa so ok lang kasi baka madami talaga nakabook and pag akyat naman ng guard eh tumahimik sila..then we went out at 6pm and come back at 9pm hoping makakarest na kame ng maus at baka tulog na ung mga katabi naming rooms , pero hindi start pa lang ng nightmare pala, at 11pm they started making sounds again like talking at hallway again so nagising na naman kame ng alanganin oras..we dont call at frontdesk kasi super antok at pagod na imagine ung wla kang maus na tulog then bumyahe ka pa baguio para makarest pero disaster..then they wake up at 4:30 am same routine sigawan sa hallway ,bagsak ng door until 9:30am..i would not recommend this hotel if d nila kyang gawan ng paraan ung ganitong issues..hindi ako maarte sa hotel pero ung gusto mo magpahinga d ka makapg pahinga gawa ng ibang guest na akala mo pag mamay ari nila ung buong floor ng hotel sa sobrang ingat nila first time ata nila mg hotel kaloka..i always stay at alvea hotel , dahil sa hype sa tiktok kaya ngtry ako sa soto grande..at d na ulet uulet pa🥴

Sotogrande Hotel Baguio looks new. The rooms are clean and spacious. It comes with basic necessities with a smart TV. Breakfast comes with lots of variety. Food is nicely prepared and suits our palate. Swimming pool is nice and water is warm. Hotel personels are very courteous and willing to be of service anytime you need one. Makes us feel so welcome. It is located within few minutes walk/drive to Baguio tourist attractions. Taxis are also readily available. The location is very convenient. Within 5 minutes walk from the hotel is the delicious '"Sizzling Plate" restaurant with yummy foodies. Will definitely stay here again in our next visit.

This hotel is good but there were a few things that I didn't like. The water pressure for the shower is too weak, and there is no handheld shower head, which is preferable for business travelers. The safe in the room is too small, which was not sufficient even for the storage of a laptop.

Great hotel in Baguio. We preferred to walk to SM as it is very hard to find a taxi during tourist peak season even if the hotel tries to find one for you. Breakfast options were mostly the same and the chicken was mostly dry. Preferred to have more breakfast options for non Filipino tourists The restaurant, front desk, the tall man in the suit down stairs by the front desk were the highlight of this stay. Very friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping service was poor. Throughout the entire stay, they would clean all the other rooms on the 3rd floor and save ours to last or just completely skip i, even with makeup room sign on the door. I had to go to the front desk multiple times just to get room makeup, and carpet almost never vacuumed unless i stayed in the hallway while they were cleaning to make sure they vacuumed it. Security was also below average. Some rude guests on the 3rd floor kept ringing our door bell during sleeping hours ans midnight to intentionally wake us up and then ran away before we got to the door. It took security many hours to check cctv and confirm the happening. Unsure how they dealt with the situation but it was an unpleasant experience. Internet is very slow as well and sometimes theres none at all in the room unless you get close to the door

The hotel is new so you would expect it to be in better shape. The bathrooms weren't really designed with quality materials and the curtains certainly didn't block the morning sun or heat. The worst part was housekeeping. 1 Dat never came and when we got back that night we asked for clean towels and amenities and only got 3 bath towels as they didn't have any washcloths. And they never took the dirty towels. The day before we got back and they removed the toilet paper. Again called and took 15 minutes to send someone up. 2 nights the didn't refill the water and when they did the one night it was a loose top that didn't shut tight. Breakfast was average but food wasn't heated. Just left in cold warming trays. Definitely would not recommend this hotel, no matter what the price

Nice new hotel and that is close to many attractions. Worth checking out if you are looking to stay in Baguio for business or pleasure.
