The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell, Derbyshire
9.1 (119 reviews)

The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell, Derbyshire ★★★★

📍 The Square, Bakewell

"Located in the town center, the hotel offers free parking directly opposite, but it's quite small and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The lobby has a quaint, antique charm. The rooms are tiny; a double room is fine for one person, but a bit cramped for two. The garden next door is absolutely beautiful. Charleston Restaurant is also right next door and gets very busy, so reservations are a must. Breakfast was pretty good."

The H Boutique Hotel

The H Boutique Hotel ★★★

📍 Water St, Bakewell

"A really welcoming small hotel everyone was super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until our departure. Our room and bathroom were great, very large and comfortable and we slept very well in the huge cosy bed.. Everything was provided including tea, coffee, water biscuits and room safe etc and the white company products in the bathroom were lovely as were the big fluffy towels. Breakfasts were very nice. We had a great stay in Bakewell which is charming and we recommend the hotel."

Robin Hood Farm B&B
9.7 (57 reviews)

Robin Hood Farm B&B ★★★★

📍 Old, Brampton Road, Baslow, Bakewell

"It feels like a family hotel. The owner and his wife live on one end of the house and the guests live on the other side. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is very warm, the rooms are clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. It really makes you feel like you are home. We stayed in a family room on the second floor, with a small courtyard in the back. The children happily built two snowmen in the back. The location of the hotel itself is right next to the highway. But it's not a main thoroughfare, so it's not noisy. Richard's Second Bedroom Manor, Edensol Town Bakewell, the main attractions in the wind area are all very close, within 15 minutes' drive. The slight drawback is that except for the Robin Hood Club restaurant it operates, there are no other shops around."

The Pilsley Inn - Chatsworth ★★★★

📍 Derbyshire, Bakewell

"Excellent! From the service to the rooms to the food, everything was fantastic. I've stayed at the nearby Cavendish's Hotel before, but this one offered the best value. Highly recommended!"

Castle Inn by Greene King Inns
7.6 (64 reviews)

Castle Inn by Greene King Inns ★★★

📍 Castle Street, Bakewell

"Friendly staff, decent food in the pub, well cooked and reasonably priced. We stayed for one night in the Hathersage room, this room opens directly onto the outside seating area, this is adjacent to the pavement and busy roadway. Room was ok, bed comfortable, bathroom clean with good shower, stone floor, no rug so cold walking around. It’s worth noting that there is a lot of noise from passing traffic, which did quieten down through the night but started picking up again around 5.30 a.m. Also I imagine in summer the pub patrons using the outside tables could be a disturbance if you wanted an early night."

The Devonshire Arms ★★★
"Being in a peak area, this standard is quite satisfactory. The only discomfort is that there is no elevator, the stairs are relatively narrow, and it is troublesome to get up and down large luggage. Breakfast is made a la carte, the taste is much better than some buffet breakfasts, and the service staff are also more enthusiastic."

The Pilsley Inn - Chatsworth ★★★★
"This is a charming inn that perfectly blends old world charm with modern appointments. Gorgeous room with four poster bed, sitting area and amazing bathroom with a soaking tub and rain head shower. Clean and beautifully decorated. Even includes some books to read. Rooms has actual keys and steep stairs but accessible first floor rooms are available. Power adapters (for non UK) a must as no USB charging in room. Lovely restaurant and pub with great food and drink selection. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway. Very close to Chatsworth House."

Castle Inn by Greene King Inns ★★★
"Had one of the outside rooms, which meant I was practically on the street. Extremely noisy with traffic and people walking past. Also felt unsafe as a single female as the door opens onto the bar patio and the street"
