Best Hotels in Baku, Azerbaijan

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. It is a most convenient and comfortable hotel in this area. i feel like a home. Excellent service good language ability of reception staff.

Amazing attention to the guests ... This te is really obove standards... Not even in higher category hotels you find this... I felt they were all there to support and help... I arrived very early after a terrible long trip.. They made sure I could check in as early as possible... Same, the day after I arrived late for breakfast but still they tried to accomodate me... My congrats to the GM, there is always a good captain behind a team that works well in different sections. Excellent guys keep it up! Regards Marco

Good day . The hotel canceled the reservation Despite what I stayed there and paid everything There are photos, correspondence screens, etc. Let's start with what I asked for an early meeting, I was given it so I decided to close my eyes further. 1. No one helped me lift the suitcase to the second floor 2. The hotel did not work on the first night of the wi-fi. More precisely, the administrator didn't want to do anything with this until I called the person whose number is indicated on the bucking 3. I booked a bathroom room. What I was told is that it is improved and give it for one night, and then resettlement 4. From morning I was woke up to have time to clean the room to the room without a bath. Ok, I had a previous settlement, everything happens. I missed it. 5. No showers work in the hotel!!! The shower broke! I called the administrator and he did nothing with it Then I called the director and the administrator with an unhappy face and murmuring why I started to fix it 6. In the hotel small beetles I asked for early settlement, they confirmed , and after confirmation they demanded from me an additional fee for earlier settlement A forgot, breakfast in the hotel too is not available and at night a person sleeps in the kitchen :)

Best beach view Hotel... Little far from city center but really very nice to stay... Good staff... Rooms are clean with balcony to the view to beach... Clean place... Good breakfast.... Good amenities... Love the place... 😃🙏🏻 Hope to be visit soon .. keep it up.

I would like to share my wonderful experience of staying at Excelsior Hotel Resort&Spa in Baku this June. I booked 4 nights (12-16 June) as I was planning since long time ago to visit Baku with my mom. I selected Excelsior based on reviews on *********** and its facilities. I must say I did not regret a second to have made this choice :) the hotel haz amazing interior design, superb breakfast service (thank you, team and Chef Zohra), amazing swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and spa amenities. I was super happy to celebrate my birthday in the hotel and the staff surprised me in the evening by bringing a cake and champagne to our room. It was such a beautiful gesture I will never forget:) overall, the staff is one of the best I met in my life caring, attentive, responsive and friendly. I recommend Excelsior to anyone who travels to Baku for business or leisure. Ludmila, Ukraine. June 2023.

It was my very first trip with family and also i choose Baku for that. I was already staying at another hotel which was not good at all so Me and My Family decided to go for a good breakfast and then look for a better Hotel. Thats how we ended up at Wyndham Garden just to have Breakfast. Breakfast time was over but Shukur gave us an opportunity to order by Menu. Here comes Nijat who open the entire Buffet for 4 of us and made our morning great. Husyn came up with an amazing coffee. While sipping our coffee me and my wife decided to book this Hotel for the rest of our stay. Mr Steve came personally to welcome us and i shared this story with him. What a great Guy Mr Steve is the GM. Rooms are clean. Pool is to die for. Gym is clean and up to date. The only this we miss was Spa. Above all the Staff. Ibrahim, Shukur, Nijat, Huseyn, Lamam and last but not the least Mr Steve. Thank you all for making our trip the best.

Very clean and beautiful needs extra star . Excellent breakfast and nice lounge and beautiful view from front to on-look to beautiful park.
