Hotel du Col

Positive aspects, certainly the central location and proximity to the snow, Sestriere it's very small but compared to other hotels it has an advantage....The rooms if they face the slopes are ok, otherwise the view is bad and you will hear the noise of the main road..You can leave your skis in the storage room in the basement,and if you are hungry outside the hotel you will find a bar for sandwich or pizza...Whoever says that the Food is ok evidently a regular customers of low quality shops, and who knows what they are used to eating at home..Evidently they have a very low budget, and this is reflected in what you will find in the restaurant....For breakfast no fresh vegetables or fruit, industrial cake and cappuccino from the automatic machine......March it's ok, but the best snow I think on February..

Had a great holiday again at Hotel du Col. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. The room are comfortable a clean and plenty of hot water.The food was as good as ever. Plenty of choice to suit all. Have no complaints Will definitely be back. Thanks Hope to see you next year

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Marcello no.1 , Marcello no.2 and Maria were super friendly and helpful. The food was varied and very good. The rooms were good and the beds very comfortable. There are no kettles or tea making facilities in the rooms. The access to the ski locker and onto the piste was very well arranged . Thank you team Hotel du Col for an excellent stay

We stayed here with Crystal Ski in April 2025. Having read some of he reviews I was worried about the food, but it was fabulous! Great selection at breakfast - cereals, granola, yogurt, bacon and scrambled egg, toast, pastries, fruit etc. Dinner from 7.30pm - fantastic selection of salads, lovely soup, two pasta dishes (eg tagliatelle ragu, mushroom ravioli), a selection of mains eg roast lamb, salmon, lots of veg sides, selection of great desserts and cheese. Gluten free definitely provided for with separate dishes prepared. Jugs of wine provided on the table at dinner, with water, coke and sprite. Afternoon tea and cake 4-5 every day. Rooms are fine, with a good shower. Hairdryer in the bathroom. No kettle in the rooms, we brought our own. One uk plug socket in the room, the rest are 2 pin. Rooms facing the mountain are quieter than those facing the road. Higher floors are quieter. Carrefour mini market about 50m from the hotel. Very central location, the boot room opens out almost onto the piste. That’s what I would have wanted to know before I came!

Just returned from a fantastic break with friends at this lovely hotel, from our experience it has everything you need, this was my first time staying in a hotel at a ski resort and would definitely recommend for a hassle free break. I really liked the boot room and ski storage area that had easy access to the slopes, the room we stayed in had 4 single beds and was big enough to accommodate this, the hotel is clean and the cleaners folded my PJs on my bed everyday which was a nice personal touch. Like others I was worried about some of the food reviews but did not need to be, I loved the soups and there was a good choice of mains. (Had I been with my kids they may have struggled as they only like plain food) the deserts were average but i don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Plenty of choice for breakfast although the bacon was not my flavour but loved the scrambled eggs. All the staff were fantastic and really friendly. On an evening we would go to the bar which had a pool table and darts board. The darts board is in desperate need of replacement but we still enjoyed playing and played daily. Loved this break so much and would definitely recommend.

Had 2nd floor eaves room with large balcony facing the slopes. Clean, warm room & comfy bed with two pillows supplied. Plenty of storage in bedroom. Great shower, but could have done with an extra storage shelf in the bathroom. Heated ski locker room in basement, 10 euro refundable deposit for locker key. Direct access to slopes via underground car park. Basement bar with pool table, darts etc., plus lounge with bar on main floor. Evening meal (with free wine & water) was buffet style. Was a bit worried about the food after reading previous reviews but the food was fine - salad course, mains (which we found were always hot) & desserts. Difficult to please everyone when it's a buffet but we had no issues. Breakfast good but take your own mug if you like a decent size brew in the morning as provided cups are a bit small! Staff lovely too. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Sestrière 👍
