It is a good example of Canarian architecture. During the complete restoration in 1996, the originality and charm of the house were completely preserved. In this year the tourist rental of the first holiday apartments began. The mostly young international guests like to use the Apartamentos Monasterio de San Antonio as an ideal starting point for mountain bike or hiking tours as well as for excursions to the diverse regions of the island. The house is located on the green outskirts of Icod de los Vinos at about 325 meters above sea level. The famous dragon tree and the historic city center are only around 800 meters away. It is a quiet location with beautiful mountain and Atlantic views. There are also restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby. One of the largest volcanic caves (La Cueva del Viento) is also very close and the nearest beach (Playa de San Marcos) with bars and restaurants is just 3.5 km away.

This holiday home is located on the first floor of our house and is furnished in a rustic Mexican style. All windows face the inner courtyard. The apartment has a private balcony with sea views. The living area is divided into a dining area directly at the window to the balcony, a kitchenette and the actual living area with a sofa and two armchairs. The bathroom with shower is entered from the bedroom. The flat screen Tv has satellite reception with around 450 international channels - including Bbc World and Cnn - as well as local reception with common Spanish Tv channels by switching on the remote control (international movies on most of the Spanish Tv channels can be switched to the original language). You can also ask for free Netflix. Of course, the large communal roof-terrace can also be used. Our house got glass fibre internet connection and at all of the accommodations as well as at the roof-terrace there is very good working wifi-connection.
