From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable retreat. The villas are stunning—spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. I stayed in a private pool villa, a dream come true. The pool overlooked a serene jungle view, offering complete privacy and a perfect spot to unwind. The room was well-appointed, featuring modern amenities while maintaining a traditional Balinese aesthetic. The outdoor shower and bathtub added a luxurious touch. Meals at Tangelo were an absolute treat! On the last day of our stay, we opted for a floating breakfast, which was delightful. For the rest of our stay, we enjoyed our meals at Tangelo. The serene vibe and amazing surroundings made it a memorable experience. The food was very fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, adding to the charm of our mornings and evenings. One of the highlights of our stay was the complimentary couples’ photography session. It was a thoughtful and romantic experience, leaving us with beautiful memories to cherish. Cicada Ubud Resort is truly perfect for a romantic getaway. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of wild animals near the resort, zero sightings of monkeys and snakes. Cicada Ubud Resort exceeded all our expectations. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or simply a peaceful retreat, this resort offers a slice of paradise. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning my return.

If I could choose again, I would not stay at this hotel. The staff were kind and tried their best to assist, but overall the experience did not justify the price, and I would not recommend it. On the first day, our villa had several issues: a gecko inside the room, a kettle that didn’t work, and a door that couldn’t be properly locked. After hours of back-and-forth, we were moved to another villa at around 10 PM. Noisy: Unfortunately, the new villa was located directly behind a public road, and the noise at night was extremely disruptive—at times it felt as if motorbikes were passing right beside the bed. I was too tired to request another room change, but the sleep quality was significantly affected. Cleanliness and privacy: the private pool seemed more decorative than functional, with visible leaves and signs it hadn’t been properly cleaned. the outdoor shower meant I had to share my space with geckos again, which might be uncomfortable for some guests. We also relied on the shuttle bus twice, and both times it failed to arrive on schedule—one instance was over 10 minutes late. This inconsistency was surprising for a hotel under a major international group. This was meant to be a relaxing staycation, but I found myself more tense than refreshed. If there is one highlight, it would be the breakfast, which was generous and well prepared.
