Our reservation was from Dec 31st to Jan 3rd. The hotel didn't offer any New Year's Eve activities in advance, nor did they proactively offer airport pick-up service (which was included in the booking). We only found out after asking ourselves. Other than that, the butler service and restaurant food were excellent 👍

Aman's service was truly exceptional. We originally planned to visit Bali during the Spring Festival holiday, but because we couldn't get our US visa and passport back in time, we arranged with the hotel to reschedule our trip to summer vacation. This season is actually the best for visiting Bali, with exceptionally pleasant weather. Our flight arrived a little after 7:00 AM, and the hotel is two hours from the airport. We arrived after 9:00 PM after our airport pickup. Since our reserved ocean view and pool suite wasn't available until 2:30 PM, the hotel arranged a garden suite for us. The room service was incredibly attentive. Although the hotel is nestled in the woods, it's practically mosquito-free. The private black sand beach is truly breathtaking. After checking out, we headed to the Suri Hotel, a two-hour drive. The hotel even provided a complimentary driver (honestly, given the hotel's remote location, shuttle service was crucial). The only downside was the single restaurant, which lacked a Chinese menu and staff, making it particularly unfriendly to Chinese people. (This was our third trip to Bali, and after staying in over a dozen hotels, this was the only one without Chinese service, despite the significant number of Chinese guests.) This is something we strongly recommend improving. The tuberose fragrance given at night was really nice, the bed was also very good, and I slept very well.

The decor was overly religious! The scenery was mediocre and didn't match the price! There were three oil tankers not far from the black sand beach, making it feel like a cargo terminal resort! Too many mosquitoes; the bar experience was unbearable at night! The food was good. Probably the worst Aman resort!

The airport is two hours away, and the hotel arranges free airport pick-up and drop-off. The service is ok, but not as amazing as other Amans. The food here is really average, but it's enough to fill your stomach. I recommend the black sand beach, which is quiet and soft, and you can go into the sea.

Amanchulan is truly wonderful. The service was truly satisfying. I spent four delightful days here, completely relaxed and at peace. The hotel's several activities were also very enjoyable. If I had to point out a few shortcomings, I'd say the food in the main restaurant could be more varied and delicious. The Italian restaurant was excellent. Also, in Vila 33, where we stayed, there were always gecko-like creatures crawling around on the ceiling at night. I'm a light sleeper and I'm easily awakened. My husband and children weren't bothered by this, though.
