De Moksha Eco Friendly Boutique Resort

My stay at De Moksha was heavenly! The staff were so attentive, helpful and kind. I did yoga every morning during my 6 day stay. The yoga classes were some of the best I've attended, and the teachers were amazing! I had a plunge pool at my villa, plus access to two other large pools and sun loungers. The room toiletries were natural and good quality - the attention to detail is excellent. The bed was comfy and fresh unlimited mineral water provided. There is a good selection of food, including healthy options. The highlights for me were the Balinese dishes and teas. At breakfast you can make your own fresh veggie and fruit juices. De Moksha is a peaceful and magical haven. Lots of butterflies and greenery. I would highly recommend for a relaxing and wholesome stay.

This resort has great potential, but lacks managerial oversight. From my initial communications with them to my last airport transfer booking, I experienced issues with communication. Initially I had wanted to book a yoga retreat, but didn't get any kind of response for a few weeks. Eventually I found a phone number that I could use for WhatsApp, but then they wouldn't upgrade my reservation. Which in hindsight is just as well, as I was able to attend the amazing yoga classes, but had the freedom to go elsewhere for meals, spa treatments and activities. None of the aforementioned were particularly stellar at De Moksha, with the activities such as tours being of rather questionable quality. The best thing about De Moksha is the yoga teachers - they are each special in their own way, and attending classes was the highlight of my trip. The villa's don't look quite as in the photo's - the "luxury" accommodation is in need of an update. Cleanliness could also be improved - the bathroom was never really clean, nor was the patio. Amenities are great - toiletries are eco friendly, and coffee and tea replenished daily. But overall the accommodation was just a little tired, as were the spa facilities. The swimming pools are lovely though, as are the yoga shalas. As the rate I paid for the accommodation was quite reasonable, I am happy to accept the standards at De Moksha. However, the poor guest communication means that I will not recommend this resort for anything but their yoga. There were constant issues with miscommunication, including being asked to pay bills twice, and ever-more expensive quotations for the same airport transfer. No apologies were offered, and I was informed that I couldn't speak to a manager, as it was outside office hours. However, over the next 2 days there was still no response from management. As a manager I would have liked to hear these comments first-hand rather than reading them in a review. I would suggest some form of satisfaction survey, so that management keeps abreast of clients' experiences. They don't seem to be out and about in the resort. In conclusion I would highly recommend the yoga classes, but would advise to stay elsewhere unless you find a really good offer on De Moksha's accommodation.

Looking for a nice place to stay 4 nights in Tabanan Bali, De Moksha Ecofriendly Boutique Hotel is the good choices. De Moksha have a very nice view hotel from the restaurant is rice field, very quiet and relaxing. Have a nice pool used organic stuff instead chemical. The room is big, clean and very comfortable. The staff also are so friendly and helpful.

Amazing experience! Facilities and staff were outstanding and make everyone feel special. Whether an experienced yoga practitioner or a novice, or whether you just want a truly authentic Balinese holiday, this is the place to come. We will definitely come back. Nigel and Roma

The included breakfast was exceptional and large. The room was large, beautiful with a supremely comfortable bed and great AC!! The dinners weren’t great. We were there for Nyepi and they ensured we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back!

The room I got was spacious, right across from the yoga room and next to the spa. All the staff were very nice and friendly. They called you by your name and remembered which activities you’ve joined the day before and asked you how they went. You can tell the staff there put guests on first priority. I had so much fun throughout the trip, EXCEPT on my last day, in which I had signed up for an activity called, “village walk on foot”, hoping to see what the village looks like. However, the original tour guide couldn’t make it, and the hotel arranged a different guide for me, and brought me to a different village called Pachung. And the most important thing was, the hotel didn’t inform me ahead of time about the above change of arrangement, AND, I was not told I was the only one going on this village tour! I was very surprised when the male guide arrived. Anyway, I still went for the tour since it was on foot. The guide was nice, talkative, and knew everyone in the village, because later I found out he also lives in this village. He showed me his house and his parents and showed me around. Though there wasn’t much to see, it was a long 1-hr walk. While I thought we would walk back to the hotel, the guide said it would be too far to walk back on foot and so I had no choice but to sit behind the guide on a scooter. Upon my return I told the hotel they should have told me in advance that I was the only one joining the tour and guide is a male. If I had known about this I would choose not to go. So to all female solo travelers, please make sure you ask the hotel how many participants have signed up for the activity. I felt disappointed about the arrangement by the hotel. Despite this, everything was fine and went well. I love the yoga instructors there: Jane, besral, arie. The classes were great.

very cozy and comfortable resort. it's a good place for you who love quite, nature and relax. We stayed 2 times during galungan holiday and nyepi, i bring my husband and son and we really love the resirt. room are clean and tidy, the pool are suitable for relax and the staff are very proffessional and friendly. we taste the restautant too, it's the best👍👍👍good food, fresh food, the taste excellent and the f&b staff are very friendly and professional. they provide best service. so definitely will be back again for weekend getaway
