My stay at Kenran Resort Ubud was mixed. I had specifically booked a room with a terrace on the 2nd or 3rd floor, but when I arrived, I was given a room on the 1st floor instead. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong mold smell, which made the first night quite unpleasant. I raised the issue with the staff, and only after a fairly long discussion did they agree to move me to another room the following day. Once I was moved to the 3rd floor, the experience changed completely. The room was much better, and the views from the resort were genuinely beautiful. My main advice to future guests would be to check the room carefully when you arrive, especially if you are placed on the 1st floor. Based on my experience, I would personally avoid the first-floor rooms. The breakfast was another weak point for me. The menu felt limited and could definitely be improved. Overall, the resort has amazing views and a lot of potential, and my stay became very enjoyable after moving to the 3rd floor. However, the first-day room issue and the breakfast quality stopped it from being a great experience from the beginning.

Beautiful hotel, but unfortunately the service completely ruined our honeymoon The hotel itself is genuinely stunning. The property, design and overall appearance are beautiful, and on the surface it looks like the perfect place for a honeymoon. Unfortunately, the service and attention to detail were extremely disappointing and, in our experience, nowhere near the standard you would expect from a hotel like this. We left one day before our scheduled checkout, despite our stay being from 20th–27th August, because the experience became so frustrating that I told my wife it was time to leave and that I would rather pay extra to stay somewhere else. When we arrived, we specifically explained that we had already had a poor experience at our previous hotel and asked whether they could make sure we were properly looked after because this was our honeymoon. We were reassured that they absolutely would. Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite. We were given a ground-floor room, and every morning we could clearly hear staff outside our door as well as people moving around upstairs. It completely took away from the peaceful honeymoon experience we were expecting. We even asked whether we could pay extra for a room upgrade, but despite explaining the situation, we didn’t feel that there was any genuine effort to accommodate us. One experience in particular really shocked me. We had left our honeymoon dessert in the room for the cleaner to collect. It wasn’t taken away, so we assumed it had simply been forgotten. The following day, we noticed it had actually been put back into the fridge. I was confused, so I eventually took it outside and left it by our front door. It remained there for two days, with fruit flies eventually gathering all over the strawberries. To make matters even stranger, someone then moved the dessert from directly outside our room to the other side of the corridor. I genuinely couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Something that should have simply been removed by housekeeping was left sitting there until it became unhygienic. The towel situation was another major issue. The hotel’s policy states that if you want your towels changed, you leave them on the floor. I followed this policy twice, deliberately making sure the towels were wet so there could be no confusion that they needed changing. On both occasions, the exact same wet towels were picked up, folded and placed back on our bed — the bed we were sleeping in. At that point, it wasn’t just about towels anymore. It was the lack of care and attention to basic hygiene and housekeeping standards. We genuinely reached the point where I said to my wife, “It’s time to go.” We left on the 26th, one day before our planned departure. It’s such a shame because the hotel itself is beautiful and has so much potential. However, a stunning building cannot compensate for poor service, poor housekeeping and a lack of care — especially when guests have specifically told you that they are on their honeymoon and have asked you to make the experience special. My advice: if you are allocated a ground-floor room, I would strongly recommend asking to change rooms immediately. If you’re looking for a hotel where the service matches the appearance of the property, unfortunately this wasn’t our experience. Beautiful hotel. Very disappointing service. I have attached some photos to show that I actually did stay at the hotel and I’m not an Ai making this up. Ps the wooden stand that holds the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner stinks due to water building up and no one cleaning them regularly.

We booked 3 suites room and really enjoyed our 2 nights stay in the resort located in the midst of padi fields and greenery. However there was a hiccups on room access to one of the suites. The electronic card access was not working and we need to call the front desk to activate their engineering team each time we wanted to go into our suite.

This hotel is very beautiful. Hidden in the tropical rainforest surrounded by rice paddies. It’s a little bit further out from central Ubud but I rented a motorbike and parked i at the hotel. The bath was great. The pool and restaurant was fantastic. The onsite Indian restaurant was phenomenal.

I do love this resort so much😭❤️ This place perfectly got the vibe I was looking for in Bali. Thanks to the beautiful pool nestled in the jungle, the pleasant room conditions, and the friendly staff, my vacation was truly special and enjoyable. The private yoga class with Ms.Angga at Mantra pavilion made my day and it was a great experience for me🧘 She is so kind and enegetic❤️ I could feel that she really cared about me. And I really thank you for the delicious birthday cake😭❤️🎂 I really enjoyed it! The omelet at breakfast was good and since I had some time before heading to the airport after checking out, I had Pisa Goreng at the restaurant, which was really tasty🍌 100% recommend here!

The setting is beautiful, surrounded by forest, greenery and relaxing nature sounds. Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. Room service was often slow, and the food quality was generally poor. Some dishes arrived cold, took a long time to arrive, or were quite different from what their names or descriptions would normally suggest. I raised the issue about the cold food, but the response did not seem particularly concerned. I would not recommend staying here with the expectation of relying on room service; I eventually chose to eat elsewhere instead. I also noticed used dishes left outside my room for close to 24 hours, despite housekeeping having been in and out during that time. I did order some other items which were much better - but they required simple preparation. The resort layout was also somewhat inconvenient. Guests need to take a buggy to reach reception, which means calling and waiting each time. The buggies usually arrived quickly, but it still added an extra step whenever I wanted to leave or return. As the hotel is located some distance from most restaurants and attractions, this made planning more difficult, especially given the limited food experience onsite. The rooms were quite noisy. I could hear other guests’ mobiles vibrating, conversations, running water, footsteps, running, plumbing and even private moments. There was also frequent dragging noise from above. Some maintenance issues also needed attention. The blinds near the bath were broken and had to remain closed throughout my stay. The wooden bathroom floor was uneven, with boards that appeared to have shifted, shrunk or expanded. Finally, the resort would benefit from providing a map or directory. On my first day, I struggled to remember where everything was located, and there was very little signage or information to help guests navigate the property.

The room accommodation is very beautiful. We had a spacious room. I enjoyed using the bath salt in the bath tub. It has an amazing pool. The food is great as well as breakfast. You can upgrade to floating breakfast.
