Golden Luxury Suites
Nostos Beach Boutique Hotel
"This hotel is great. As it is that there are lots of stairs and steps you must have a good condition. It is a ver cosy hootel with very nice staff. It starts with breakfast. Very large buffet. Lovely people who care for you. The bar is also very good. The food you get is excellent. The boys and girls are very nice. We had a very good time with them. Thank you all making our holidays unforgettable."
Elpis Studio Apartments
"I have just returned from a 1 week stay in Elpis with my 3 teenage daughters and I would highly recommend. Poppy, her sons, the bar staff and house keepers are the loveliest of people are really make you feel welcome. I like to travel to different places and have never went back to the same place twice however this is the first time and place I would be tempted to return to again! We shared a room for 4 and found there was plenty of space and the room was immaculately clean. Nice sized balcony overlooking the pool. The outside space is beautiful with lots of sweet smelling flowers! The pool is a good size and my teenagers had a great time playing on the water and lounging by the pool side. It wasn’t too busy and always a sun lounger (comfy!). The bar was great and served drinks, smoothies and light bites all at a reasonable price. There is a small super market right next door which is ideal for all the necessities. The nearest beach in about a 3 minute walk - it’s a lovely beach with some water sports which my teenagers loved! The water was clear and beach sandy. The port of Bali beach is about 10mins walk where you can take part in more water sports and boat trips which I highly recommend. There’s a range of tavernas, tourist shops (selling lovely traditional Cretan gifts) restaurants and cafes all at a reasonable price. The people of Crete are very friendly and helpful and the island itself is beautiful! Elpis may be a 2 star but it feels like it should be more. Location, staff, rooms, pool are all brilliant!"
Bali Diamond (Adults Only)
"We had a very unpleasant experience at a café called “Diamond Cafe Bar,” which is located in the hotel it belongs to. We stopped there, four adults and a baby, and ordered two drinks. From the very beginning, we noticed that the waiter was clearly serving us without any enthusiasm (it seemed he realized we were from Israel). After bringing the drinks we ordered, he rudely said to us: “You are five people and only ordered two drinks. I ask that you don’t come here again.” He said this without shame and in complete disregard for what it means to provide proper service to customers. Was it rude behavior? Was it dislike toward us as Israelis? It’s unclear, but what is very clear is that this is not how you treat paying customers and definitely not how you speak to people. We recommend avoiding this place and certainly not spending your hard-earned money there."
Xidas Garden
"It's the 2nd year I spend my summer holidays in bali and Xdas garden and, honestly,I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The location of the hotel is simply perfect ,close to the main beach and services but in a very quiet place, just what I needed and searched for. The hotel atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed and the hosts are definitely very friendly and kind ,which I appreciated so much! The hotel rooms are very clean and everything is taken good care of. I'm surely planning to get there again every summer, and my choice will always be The Xidas Garden hotel for sure! Thank you for making us feel at home and and making our staying so enjoyable!"
Bali Beach Hotel & Village
"Nightmare, 140 steps upto the room about 7 levels, food rancid and cold, had to go reception for clean towels and additional toilet roll, as they wouldn’t take them to the room, bed sheet changed day before we left and bed not even made, sand from first day visit to beach still in the room the day we left, no shower curtain to contain the shower so always wet through, bathroom window wouldn’t open (probably fall out) and plug sockets hanging off the wall. The surrounding area has some beautiful bars n restaurants and we used those at a cost of approx €500 for the week. For an all inclusive hotel, this was the pits. If I won a free holiday here for the review, I’d give it my worst enemy"
Gorgona Hotel
"We already booked a room in this hotel for 2 weeks in the winter and received better service than we had imagined. First of all, the location is already excellent - about 200 meters down a sloping road to the beach and the same to the nearest supermarket on the main Bali street. The rooms are spacious enough and well furnished, clean, tidy, freshly renovated. The hotel has its own tavern with a wide menu, a good cook who prepares very tasty dishes. The service is amazingly fast! And additional bonuses after the meal. What kind? Try it yourself :) And finally - a large pool for adults and children with a large relaxation area equipped with very good sunbathing furniture with mattresses. Last but not least - very responsive and kind staff. We were lucky. You too can have such a good experience if you book early!"
Atali Grand Resort
"A perfect hotel at all levels!!! We loved our stay and will come again next year!!!"
Mitsis Bali Paradise
"This hotel stay was a bit of a tale of two hotels—an old one and a new one. We travelled at the end of July with three other groups of friends. Although we all arrived at the same time, the hotel didn’t know our bookings were related. The first group to check in was given a renovated room (you can clearly see the difference in the hotel’s images), while the other three families were given unrenovated rooms that were, at best, 3-star quality and very dated. Two of the families were initially offered rooms in the basement that were dark, outdated, and in poor condition. We complained to reception and were told there were no alternative rooms available. After some persistent complaints, we were eventually offered different rooms that were somewhere between the old and new ones in terms of renovation—nicer, but still not up to 4-star standards. Facilities and Pool Area The pool area is lovely—very clean and well-maintained. However, you do need to get up early to secure a sunbed. The pool bar serves good drinks and decent coffee, which was a nice touch. Dining Options and Food Quality There is one main restaurant, along with Italian and Cretan à la carte restaurants that you can book into—if you can find availability. The food in the main restaurant is very repetitive: salads, chips, grilled chicken and fish, along with a few tray-baked dishes and vegetables. While the quality is decent, it’s nothing memorable. Notably missing were items you'd expect from a 4-star all-inclusive: no steak on the grill, and no omelet station at breakfast. A major issue was the food availability between meal times. Breakfast ends at 10:00am, lunch runs from 12:00 to 2:30pm, and dinner starts at 6:30pm. In between, there’s only a small selection of fruit and cakes available at the bar—no snack bar, no hot dogs or pizza. I’ve never stayed at an all-inclusive resort that offered so little between meals. We arrived around 3:00pm and were told there was no food available until dinner—just some cakes. We asked for gluten-free options and were told the kitchen was closed. This is simply not acceptable for the price we paid. Evening Bar and Drinks There is only one bar in the evening. They serve very nice cocktails, but they take a long time to make, resulting in long waits—often 10 to 20 minutes, with queues 10+ people deep. That said, the bar staff were super friendly. Unfortunately, the house red, white, and rosé wines were of poor quality, and several friends said the beer tasted very watered down. Entertainment and Atmosphere All entertainment was in French, and entirely staff-run—no external shows, and nothing of real quality or much interest. This was disappointing and didn’t meet expectations for a 4-star resort. Surrounding Area The area itself is very nice, with a few shops and restaurants nearby. The sea is beautiful and was a highlight of the trip. Final Thoughts We had a great week because we were with friends, and the cocktails helped make things fee"
