Transportation in Bali-

There are so many ways to get around Bali and you can choose the one that suits your needs. The best way to explore the province at your own pace is with the help of a scooter or motorcycle which you can rent. However, be careful as the roads can be a little hectic and dangerous. You can also opt for a bicycle if you’re looking for a more environment-friendly option.

Tourist shuttles are also available and offer a more affordable format of travel. They aren’t too well-developed though, so find one can be hard. Taxis are the best way to get around but they are limited to South Bali. Car rentals can be taken but the roads are chaotic and it can be super stressful. 

The most common way to get around the city is with the help of buses. They are present all around the city and offer an economical mode of transport. They can be overcrowded and dusty at times though. 

How to get to Bali?

Bali can be accessed by the airport and the Denpasar International Airport is located in the South Kuta district. It is just 13 kilometers from the capital of the province. There are major flight carriers from all around the world that depart and arrive at the airport. Bali is also well connected to the other cities in Indonesia, via domestic flights. 

From the airport, you can take taxis to the city, though availability might be harder during the night time. 

To travel from the capital city to Bali, there are buses, but the distance is a grueling 23 hours, so prepare yourselves mentally. Bali is also famous for the cruise liners that traverse through most parts of SouthEast Asia. To get in via the sea route, you can travel to Singapore, Java or Sumatra and take an onward journey towards the province.
