Desa Potato Head Bali
"Desa Potato Head enjoys a fantastic location in Seminyak, surrounded by great restaurants and just a short distance from the shopping district. We stayed in a Garden Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The bathtub overlooking the lush garden was a particularly nice touch, creating a relaxing atmosphere after a day out. One of the highlights of our stay was the morning yoga session, a wonderful way to start the day. The resort also offers several swimming pools, allowing guests to choose between different settings depending on their mood. Combined with the vibrant beach club atmosphere and sustainability-focused concept, Desa Potato Head delivers a unique Bali experience. The property itself is a visual masterpiece, featuring striking architecture that blends contemporary design with Balinese influences. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. From the iconic beachfront views and artistic installations to the beautifully designed walkways and pools, there are countless Instagram-worthy spots throughout the resort. The main drawback is the transportation arrangement. The hotel actively supports the local community and appears to encourage the use of local taxi services, as indicated by signage displayed in the lobby area. On its website, the policy is described as being due to local community regulations. As a result, app-based ride services such as Grab and Gojek are required to pick up guests at the end of the driveway on Jalan Petitenget rather than directly from the hotel lobby. As a savvy traveller who likes to compare prices before booking transportation, I found this arrangement somewhat inconvenient. While the hotel can readily arrange local taxis, their fares are generally less competitive than those offered by ride-hailing apps. Guests must either walk to the main road or request the hotel’s shuttle to the entrance on Jalan Petitenget, then locate a suitable pickup point to meet their driver. This can be inconvenient, particularly in hot weather, during rain, or when travelling with luggage. Overall, Desa Potato Head is an excellent choice for its location, facilities, wellness activities, unique architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. If the transportation arrangement is improved or a more convenient pickup point is provided, the guest experience would be even better."
Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort
"The Room View: I booked a sea-view room but was given a pool-view room instead, which was quite disappointing. Housekeeping: Housekeeping could definitely be improved; the cleanliness and overall servicing of the room were not up to par. Breakfast: There were limited breakfast varieties available, but good coffee they served."
Hilton Garden Inn Bali Nusa Dua
"This is not to the typical standard of Hilton hotels. It felt more like a Holiday Inn. Very basic and not that clean. The gym was basic, with no leg weight machine. The staff were lovely and friendly but I would not recommend it if you are expecting a Hilton stay."
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali
"Great family-friendly hotel with a nice playground and kid-friendly pool. Easy access to Jimbaran Beach, where the kids enjoyed playing in the sand. Great access to shopping area. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended for families!"
Courtyard by Marriott Bali Seminyak Resort
"Absolutely fantastic memories made in this beautiful hotel . Very clean and all the staff are so welcoming and always have a smile on their face."
The Royal Purnama Luxury Villas - Adults Only
"We had an amazing stay at The Royal Purnama. We booked their Chempaka Villa for 3 nights which had its own private plunge pool and we were not disappointed. The amenities were very impressive, the rooms in itself were really Preety with the pool access from any room of the Villa. The isolated location although might make this not an easily accessible hotel but that makes it special and secluded. It is near Ubud or If you are looking to go to east so that is why we booked it for our first three nights in Bali there to save us some time. We enjoyed their complimentary afternoon tea and the amazing service in their Standing Stand restaurant and their Spa as well which were amazing. The staffs are really amazing and they are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay back in this place in the future."
Holiday Inn Resort BALI CANGGU by IHG
"I stayed here for 3D2N during Nyepi, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing overall. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell. I suspect it’s due to the drainage design, which doesn’t have a proper lid and remains open. We asked for an air freshener, but the staff said they didn’t have one and instead offered chemical cleaning. They did the cleaning while we were out the next morning, but the smell remained. This makes me believe the issue is with the drainage system itself, not something that can be fixed with surface cleaning. Service at Roomah Resto was also underwhelming. About 99% of the staff didn’t come across as genuinely friendly, most interactions felt forced, with “polite but unwilling” expressions. Only one lady and one gentleman gave us a warm and sincere welcome; the rest felt quite unfriendly. We also paid almost 1 million IDR for a Nyepi dinner for 2 people, but it felt like the hotel was not prepared for the number of guests. There were very few waitresses, and it often felt like they avoided eye contact when we tried to get their attention. Service was slow and inattentive. On top of that, the kitchen was surprisingly loud, which disrupted the overall dining experience. The room itself is quite small, especially considering the price. I paid almost 8 million IDR for 2 nights, which did not feel worth it. The room is also not soundproof. We were lucky to be staying during Nyepi when it was quiet, but otherwise, the proximity to the main road would likely be very disturbing. I would not recommend this place for families with babies or toddlers for that reason. For comparison, I stayed 3D2N at another hotel in Sanur and 2D1N in Canggu at a much cheaper rate, and both offered service that was far better than what I experienced here. Overall, the experience did not match the price point, and I left feeling quite disappointed"
Alila Seminyak
"We enjoyed our stay at Alila. The staff was courteous and helpful all the time. The restaurants were great and the breakfast spread was amazing. The room was clean so as the other areas of the property. The hotel is located at the beach yet close to all the good restaurants and shopping places in seminyak. We would definitely stay here again."
Kanishka Villas
"Nice villa, got a private pool with 2 bedrooms and a big living room. Breakfast was served to the room every morning. Walking distance to restaurant, pub and mart."

Homm Saranam Baturiti
"I had a spectacular experience at Homm Saranam. It is one of the best hotels in Bedugul, offering beautiful views, fresh air, and stunning natural scenery. The hospitality was excellent, especially from the front office staff, Ms. Rastiti. The other staff members were also friendly and consistently welcomed guests with a smile. I stayed in the family room, which was very spacious and comfortably accommodated four adults. To reach the family room on the first floor, guests take a glass escalator, which made the stay feel unique compared to other hotels I have visited in Indonesia. The food was at a four-star hotel standard. Overall, if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind, and relieve stress, Bedugul is the perfect destination, and Homm Saranam is definitely worth visiting."
Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Villas & Spa
"Kayumanis Jimbaran is a truly relaxing villa resort. My husband and I stayed for four nights and greatly appreciated the villa’s exceptional privacy. The staff were unfailingly kind and attentive, with Manager Samuel and our butler, Purnama, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our holiday both comfortable and memorable. The villa’s layout is thoughtfully designed, making it easy to spend the entire day enjoying swimming, sunbathing, or watching movies in complete relaxation"
Hiliwatu, Bali Ubud, a Tribute Portfolio Resort
"Hiliwatu was absolutely wonderful to stay at. The staff were so friendly and went over and beyond to make our stay unforgettable! My husband and I spent our 12 year anniversary there and they treated us like family. We got upgraded to the pool villa and had a special cake brought to us along with a beautiful room decoration. The views were stunning! Food was delicious. No complaints at all! Highly recommend and cannot wait to come back :)"
Wapa di Ume Sidemen
"Wonderful Stay! Thoroughly enjoyed"
Kinama Villa Jimbaran Bali
"exceed expectation near airport good location very spacious villa with reasonable price"
Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai
"5-Star Stay at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai (with one small caveat). From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff made all the difference. Check-in was seamless, and every team member, whether at reception, in the restaurant, or around the property was genuinely attentive and eager to help. Their warmth and sincerity turned a good stay into a memorable one. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, with every amenity you could need. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, perfect for sinking into after a long day exploring Bali. As of Nov 2025, the hotel looks brand new. Breakfast offered a solid variety: Asian, Western, and local options, plus fresh juices, soda, and milk. It may not rival the sprawling buffets of luxury resorts, but it was more than enough to leave you happily full. One note: Sound from a nearby mosque can carry early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs or request a room farther from the street side. Despite that, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Ngurah Rai. Excellent value, outstanding staff, and a clean, comfortable base for your Bali adventures. Will definitely return!"
Villa Koura Kuta
"Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 Pros: 1. Conveniently located near the airport, making it a good option for travelers catching an early flight, especially considering Bali’s traffic conditions. 2. Reasonably priced, with an overall environment that meets basic expectations. Cons: 1. Cleanliness could be improved. There was some dust on the floor, and insects were noticed in the room. 2. Sound insulation needs improvement, as noise could be heard when neighboring rooms used hot water. 3. Communication may be challenging for international travelers, as the staff’s English is limited."
Sakti Garden Resort & Spa
"I had a lovely stay at Sakti Garden Resort & Spa. The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, making it a great place to relax. The staff were especially lovely and accommodating throughout my stay, always friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. The massage at the spa was also so good and made the stay feel even more relaxing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I’d happily stay again."
Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road
"The service is very great and their breakfast are wonderful. Having daily special menu ensure you bave more options. Rooms are spacious too and clean."
Anja Jimbaran
"Good value hotel for a short stay bu very noisy Maybe we were unlucky...."
Puri Bagus Candidasa
"Everything was good, but I have some feedback. It would be great to have an electrical socket next to the bed. Also, the washer closet is really slow."
COMO Uma Ubud, Bali
"when i checked in, they upgraded my room to terrace room, but I found a dead frog on the bathroom curtain, and it smelles very bad due to it has been dead for a very long time, fortunately they gave me a new room. but in the new room, the next day I had a hot water issue in my room at midnight time, and i had to wait for around an hour for it to got back working again. I recommend this hotel for someone who likes lots of bugs while they resting, becauss there are lots of bugs (spiders, frogs, big ants, bees, etc). Their housekeeping service is quiet quick, and the breakfast menu is also very healthy."
