InterContinental Properties in Bali

This resort was developed in the 1990s on a huge block of land. Ergo, the grounds are extensive, the facilities are grand and spacious and whilst busy, it never felt crowded. There were a number of pools and direct access to the beach. There was a good range of restaurants. The breakfast was good was an extensive range served both in a dining room as well as at the poolside cafe. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They understood the concept of good customer service. My only gripe was that the room felt damp so we asked for a dehumidifier to be put into our room.

Massive resort, rooms very nice, staff super friendly and helpful and go above and beyond. Location right on the water front and very relaxing and peaceful. No annoying constant street vendors trying to sell you crap etc etc. appeals to the higher and upper end or families and doesn’t have the bogan feel other areas have. So the negatives would be resort is so large to walk to your room to the beach is quite a trek. The pool is not very well catered for the resort as it’s so big and I would guess has a few thousand guest capacity and yet only 30 seats at pool side - doesn’t make sense. Also there’s no real Swimming area at the beach as it’s full of tied up boats, nice to look at but not really a swimming beach so heavily rely on having a well catered pool area with seating, which were limited.  But overall having stated these 2 negatives I would still highly recommend as it was pleasant place to stay and had a very relaxed vibe.
