Coral View Villas

Amed Bali|0.25km from Lipah Beach
Great snorkeling hotel, suitable for family travel. The two-story single-family villa we booked is right by the sea, and you can go snorkeling by pushing the door out. The space is very large, there are two large single beds downstairs, a double bed upstairs, there are benches on the terrace upstairs to see the sea view, downstairs is a large lawn, there are lounge chairs and table stools. Air conditioning is powerful. The style is more original, the thatched roof, the bathroom is open-air but very private, the bathtub is oversized. There is no TV, it doesn't matter to us. This is to watch fish and Indonesian TV shows are not understandable. Because the natural environment is too good, don't come if you are afraid of bugs. There are geckos in the room and we do not interfere with each other. The service staff is very warm and the service attitude is good. The hotel is an environmentally friendly hotel. Bottled water is provided on the first day, and then you need to take an empty bottle to the restaurant to fill your drinking water. Breakfast is served with bread jam and fried rice or fried noodles. You can order pancakes, egg bacon with the waiter. There are butter, fruit and juice in the refrigerator. The sea in front of the hotel is calm like a swimming pool. Not far from the swim, there are large corals and colorful fish, suitable for children or the first time to snorkel to find the feeling. Snorkeling equipment is recommended to bring your own, the foot number rented at the entrance of the hotel is not very complete and a bit broken. There are many boats at the door that can charter boats to other nearby bays to see different underwater views. The downside is that the network is not very good, and the speed is quite slow.

Came here to access the snorkelling on Lipah beach. We tried other spots in Amed but this was the best during our time for visit. Crystal clear water and you step off the black sand into the water and it is just full of life. Huge patches of coral all sorts of fish. Calm water not too deep. Nice to see a diver installing frames on the sea bed with coral stems to grow more reef. Note that for sunbeds on the beach you have to get from the beach chaps, we paid 100k for 2 beds all day. Can also rent snorkelling gear from them but we had our own. We eat in the Vienna restaurant every day for lunch. Brilliant service, amazing view, nice breeze. All food we tried was good. There is a pool next to the restaurant and the staff let us dip in there even though we were not residents. In my opinion best snorkel spot right off the beach in Amed, especially with a 9 and 6 year old kid neither of whom had properly snorkelled before but after one day they love it. Go early for snorkelling, lunch at vienna, then more snorkelling. Also the beach is soft volcanic sand a lot of others are pebbles and rocky… love vienna and this beach!

The villa faces the sea, and the bedroom in the room has floor-to-ceiling windows. When you open the curtains, you can see the movement on the sea surface. The shading of the curtains is also very good. Good sleeping environment, a lot of space in the living room. There is also a swimming pool under the bedroom, and it is accompanied by chairs. After swimming, you can also sunbathe, which is very enjoyable here.

We stayed here 4 nights in 2 houses with 5 persons. Houses were clean, fine air-conditioning every day. Outdoor shower and bathroom good. We felt very welcome, staff do everything to make it sense. Nice swimming pool with lodges. nice snorkeling in the sea at the villas. We had a nice BBQ on the beach and a nice cake for the birthday of our youngest. What small shopping at walk distance, like the warongs. Frokost was a choice of the map, pancakes, eggs with bread and fresh juice. dinner was ok. Adi brings you to the beautiful snorkeling places, but the supermarket or pin machine.

We stayed 6 nights. The bungalow is traditional, clean and spacious, set in a lush well maintained garden. The pool area is amongst the garden with shady trees. The staff at the restaurant which, overlooks the beach, are extremely friendly and helpful. Included is a daily complimentary buffet breakfast, and choice of eggs or pancake between 7am-10am. We ate lunch there most days as well, after we returned from diving. Unfortunately there is no ceiling fan and the room was extremely hot due to no airflow, so we had to keep the aircon on. Everywhere else on our trip we haven’t needed aircon. The shower water pressure is extremely low and it took a long time to wash conditioner out of my hair. I like having a quick shower, so was a little frustrating, but not the end of the world. However, we didn’t have any massages because we knew we wouldn’t be able to wash the massage oil off. We would of had a few otherwise. The checkin lady was lovely. I asked about taxis and she said she could call one for us if needed, which are Rp200,000 return. A couple of days later we went to reception and was greeted by a man, he told us it was Rp250,000 had to be paid in cash to him and can’t be room charged. If just sounded a little deceitful to me. I said I would prefer to pay the driver myself, but he insisted I had to give the cash to him. At the end of the trip the driver was waiting for the payment from us and was surprised we had given cash to the hotel instead. Some restaurants like Sails will send a driver to pick you up and drop you home again, which was convenient. There is a small supermarket almost next door. We found the location very convenient for diving each day and walking to other restaurants. Griya restaurant is only a short walk and is lovely for sunset drinks followed by dinner and Balinese dancing. The restaurant at Bukit Segara is close and stunning. You can snorkel on the reef, stunning coral on the left and lots of turtles on the right. The black sand gets a little hot to walk on in the middle of the day. Overall we loved our stay at Hidden Paradise and found all the gardening, housekeeping, F&B, front office staff (except one) extremely friendly and helpful.
