Nandini Jungle by Hanging Gardens

Ubud
Wonderful & tranquil feeling to be in the jungle. Well kept & clean. No lizards in the room. Big plus point. There's some small room to improve though in terms of maintenance. Hopefully things get better for them post pandemic. 2 nights is sufficient for the experience. A quick mental health recalibration.

Facilities are great, food was average, our room was immaculate, and slightly heated pool was amazing for us to swim for hours. Only thing inconvenient was location. It was hard to get to and fro city centre. It was hard to find Gojek drivers (Uber for Indonesia) who were willing to drive all the way to our hotel (some even thought our request was a prank...). To Ubud was okay to find, but anywhere further than Ubud city centre, it was extremely hard to find drivers. Other than location, hotel itself was amazing and magical. If you're planning to stay at the hotel mainly, 100% recommended. If your trip is about tours and exploring, probably find a hotel closer to city centres.

Wonderful tent. Impeccable service, very high standard. Trained and courteous staff. Beautiful massage in the spa, and 75% plant based food: different from what we usually eat, great experience! Private day tour with hotel driver: very good and accompanied us throughout our day. There are many free activities organized by the property to involve guests and help them discover the different areas of the property (waterfalls, rice terrace...) Very clean common areas and rooms!

The location of the hotel is far away from the hustle and bustle, and it is a clean place. The service of the hotel is good, but it is very difficult to contact him to pick up the airport. On Ctrip, there is only a phone number and no e-mail address; but they can’t understand each other when they make a phone call; in desperation, they have to call a car by themselves. Let’s talk about the room: the room is big, without air conditioning, but it’s completely unnecessary, and the breeze blows gently, making it very comfortable; the bathroom is in a very romantic place, semi-outdoor, but it’s impossible to take a bath because there’s not enough hot water , put 1/3 is cold water. I tried for 2 days and it didn't work

The location is in the middle of nowhere, so you have to rely on the hotel's food options. Alternatively, you can order food from Ubud via Gojekfood. The food in the hotel is only mediocre, not very tasty. The villa had almost no internet reception as the WiFi signal was very poor. And our pool had a hole where water constantly gushed out. Otherwise the view in the room is beautiful and you feel like in the jungle. The pool is very large and the outdoor bathroom was very nice. The overall concept is very good, but it all seems somehow ”intended but not skillful”. It's nice that you can order everything from the restaurant to your room. The staff is very friendly. However, breakfast is always a menu choice, which I personally didn't like that much. The Australian breakfast was served on a burger bun instead of toast.. :-D you should simply make a list for personal selection here. What was particularly good was that we were offered a free breakfast box to take with us, otherwise we would miss our breakfast because of a tour. Good service.

Ubud
Room is large, beautiful decorated, clean, well maintained, super bed, 24 hrs service, etc. Super schuttle service from resort to the centre of Ubud, 5 x per day! With professional drivers, like HERMAN, who knows the local routes. Herman gave us many tips and good ideas for visiting Bali/Ubud! The resort is well maintained everyday, by many gardeners. Yoga lessons in the Bamboo nest are the best. Super location with best value for money!
