Ubud Bali|0.18km from Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
On arrival the hotel reception was a little shabby, but the receptionist was fantastic. We were shown to the king suite( or so we thought) that is we’re the excitement of being close to the monkey forest ends. The hotel is in very much need of repair and renovating as it is obvious it was closed during covid. The small hallway outside our room was very damp with peeling paint and mouldy, the rattan blinds were ripped and mouldy. In the room, the toilet was stained with mould were it had been cleaned and the sink was the same, the bath had lost its coating and was very stained and in need of replacing. The walls had mould patches on around the room and the cobwebs behind the TV were huge. The worst thing was the bed pillows, I checked the bedding as I always do to find two pillows had been washed but still had mould stains all over them, two other pillows were so badly stained they should have been destroyed and could not be used, also once the evening set in you could see the mould on the canopy of the four poster bed when you lay in bed.The pool has tiles missing on the floor which is a hazard as it is sharp we’re the missing ones we’re. Breakfast is also in a restaurant at the back of the hotel with limited choice which you have to choose the day before . We did complain to the receptionist who told us she would email the owner, but we have never had a response. If you would like a relaxing stay in Ubud, I would never recommend this hotel. We paid over $100 a night to stay here, and would never return . Extremely disappointing

The photos don't do the place justice. I can guarantee that the ambience and feel of the place can't fully be captured by the camera. With this being said, take my review w/ a grain of salt. The accomodation is not a hotel but the rooms are spacious, clean, and even has a bathtub. We had monkeys for.visitors by our window sill every morning so we did not need to go to the monkey forest. I loved how the light rays slowly seep through our bedroom each morning and there is always the wonderful smell of pandan leaves w/c they use to make their offerings. There were so many lovely cafes and restos nearby. Losteria, a neapolitan pizza cafe was easily our favorite. We ate gelato everyday, w/ c was a 2min.walk from our room. We loved the balinese dishes at Meguna and ate at vegan cafes like Zest and Sayuri. The price we paid for the beautiful space and excellent service of the staff was small and Sarin tipped the scales way more.

Really best hotel hereㅠㅠㅠI like to travel so I often sleep at the hotel, but here is really! Good hotel! The staff were not so friendly but it was okay! Swimming pool view from the room! And I can rent a motorcycle at the hotel, but it was 70 rupees! But the charge is full! I ride very well.' Especially the best uncle who controls parking!

I am so happy with this whole place. We were having our doubts about staying in Ubud when we arrived, but this inn is so lovely, and the people so accommodating. Once you get past the front desk, it's as if the street, with all the people and noise have just disappeared. I've made some non-traditional requests and they don't bat an eye and do what they can to make it so (doing just a market tour, no cooking class). The food (organic veggies grown in a garden in site of our balcony) is lovely. The room is great, but our balcony is spectacular. Pools seem nice and well maintained, the rooftop one has great views, the ground one is peaceful. Picked us up in an EV. Don't seem to have a spa on site right now but made arrangements down the street for me - about an 8-10 min perilous walk (there was the offer of a ride but I wanted to walk). As we just don't need to buy anything, we've chosen to sit on our balcony and veg (been working in Asia for 5 weeks, so...) (except I might go out and buy a bottle of Arak). So if you're going to make Ubud your base for a few days, this would be a great place to stay. For a splurge, I'd stay at a villa. Too rich for my blood, but... they sure are beautiful places.

the staff are extremely helpful. they cater our needs even in the midnight. the cons: this hotel doesnt have fridge hence we keep asking the staff to keep our food in their kitchen and asked to bring cold water, no water kettle and water in the room. we stayed 6 nights in 2 different rooms. both are comfy. but the bungalow doesnt have closet / hanger to keep our clothes. not many choices for the breakfast. but overall it was a good stay.
