The scenery is really good, almost all are sea view rooms. Disadvantages: Poor room hygiene, the tabletops are all gray. There was a lot of spider silk in the cabinet. Stayed 2 nights without cleaning. No hair dryer. It is better to choose a bit more expensive, clean and comfortable after all.

Stayed at the hotel for two days and was too comfortable. The service was especially good. When we arrived, let us go to the air-conditioned room and wait for them to come and check in. Baggage is not taken by yourself, they will be sent directly to the room. The hotel is also very tasty, breakfast is not self-service, a single point, no charge. It is very convenient to rent a motorcycle near the hotel. There are many Europeans and Americans, and the waiters are basically English. Husband said that next time, still live!

I think perhaps the problem with our stay was expectations. Your experience at this place will completely depend on your expectations and let me help you clarify yours to determine whether this place would be a good fit for you. The most important thing about this place is that the view is absolutely fantastic. It is one of the best views I've ever had staying at a place. We stayed in a studio, number 3. We had floor to ceiling views of the gorgeous beach and water. I can't say enough good things about it. The view is incredible. The place is very spacious and includes a small kitchen and large fridge. Like many other reviews have stated, there are a bunch of drinks in the fridge that are available with reasonable prices. This is an appreciated touch. We had a small, private pool which is awesome. Unfortunately, the beautiful view was not visible from our pool like it is from many of the photos here of other rooms. It was super nice to take a dip after a long, hot day. The staff were all wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. I was very grateful that they brought our luggage up and down the steps for check in and out. The bed was very large and cozy. The shower was also pretty big with a big shower head that provided fantastic water pressure and a great shower. Going back to expectations, I'll tell you a little bit about us. When we go on vacation, especially to places that are on the cheaper side like Bali, we splurge. I like to enjoy myself. I would have been happy to get the most expensive, bougie place on the island. I did a ton of research. For the life of me, I could not find a ”luxury” hotel and was hoping this might satisfy our needs. This place is not luxury accommodations. It just isn't. There is AC only in the bedroom and thankfully, it works very well. There is no AC in the bathroom so whenever you are getting ready for bed, getting out of the shower, going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you are dealing with the intense heat and humidity. There is no AC in the main area or kitchen. The bathroom rug was stained. There was one towel rack that was rusted. The toilet area of the bathroom made me think of a jail cell. We tried to contact the manager, owner, whatever who was supposedly available to us on whatsapp the evening before needing a ride to the bridge the following day. There was no response. The following morning, he had ”read” it but did not respond. The only way for us to get there on time was for 2 of the staff to take us on scooters which was not our preference but we had no choice. One of the nights we were there, we were super hungry. There is no room service or even restaurant on site. There is a book they leave in the room with places you can order from but only one or two restaurants had menus in the book and they were outdated. How can I order if there is no menu? They were impossible to find online. I was annoyed that they did not have a bar on site. The tripadvisor page specifically

10/10 views of the beautiful blue ocean with a big volcano as the backdrop from an infinity pool while cocktails are delivered to you. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy, bathroom was a vibe. Restaurant serves good food and better cocktails and is open all day until late evening. The staff were lovely, attentive and always available. 10/10 would retire here once I win lotto. Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa

Our stay at Batu Karang has been absolutely divine. The hotel grounds and pools are impeccable and the rooms are very well appointed. I recommend booking a room with a private plunge pool if you have the option. We never needed to swim elsewhere having access to this refreshing and completely private oasis. The food at Muntigs and The Deck is lovely (very generous breakfasts). There are also many other dining options nearby (walking distance) and I believe had we been so inclined, we could have ordered delivery from a local Warung. Yes, room service option is nice when you can’t be bothered, but imagining the staff having to deal with the palaver of this based on the geography of the location, I can totally understand why this is not available. Getting to and from the rooms on the steep slope was never an issue for us (two middle-aged, not particularly fit people). The walk down is easy enough, and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a buggy ride back up to our room. We had two massages at Lulur spa and would have had more if not for spending a couple of days off-site exploring Lembongan. Staff were very helpful in arranging buggy hire on two occasions so we could head off to explore the island. Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of photos to share as we were too busy enjoying our exquisite stay. We will be back!
