Lembongan Cliff Villas

Nusa Lembongan Bali|0.67km from Selambung Beach
We stayed 3 nights at Cliff and by the end of it, I was saddened to leave the place. It was such a good experience for all of us thanks to the staff at Cliff. My friend and I had plans to dive but all were cancelled last minute. We had to make impromptu plans to explore the island and the staff could not be more helpful. They arranged private transport for us to Ceningan and fetched us back. We went fishing one day and brought back >10 fishes. The villa’s restaurant was more than happy to cook our catch for us (though note this was not peak hour), sharing various Balinese techniques / recipes. The guest facing staff have a relatively good command of English and through them we were able to understand more about the island and their lifestyle. Apart from these specific incidents, I would say the service level here is infallible and heartfelt. The rooms are modest and clean, they come equipped with good AC and comfortable beds. My favourite was the porch where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the sea (our villa had a direct view of the sea) or admire the stars at night. The pool and cafe are also very comfortable to chill at. The villa is directly connected to Song Lampong beach (<5 mins walk) and from there one can take the boardwalk to the Long Beach area, or go for a mini hike to the adjacent Tamarind beach (<15 mins). When not eating at the hotel cafe, we ordered in - many local eateries provide this service at a small or no extra fee. A shout out to Bronjo, Kopang, Pak Arka and all the other staff who made our short stay an amazing and unforgettable one.

Paus Putih Hotel

Nusa Lembongan Bali|0.71km from Selambung Beach
We had a magical stay at the Paus Putih which is situated just up from the Mushroom Beach end of Nusa Lembongan. Our villa was perfectly clean and inviting with a large comfortable bed and plenty of space. While there was no mini fridge and the room was quite basic, the air conditioner was highly effective and everything you need can be sourced from the very helpful hotel staff. There are beautiful tropical gardens and an array of lounges to relax upon. If the pool isn’t your thing, you can go for a dip in the ocean which is accessible directly from the property or read a book under the restaurant pergola and take in the perfect view of the volcano. Our host Johannes and his team were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They helped source transport and made our restaurant bookings. Johannes kindly made arrangements for my husband to take a fishing trip and even had his team cook up his catch for our lunch. Our booking included breakfast daily which was made to order and always delicious. With a selection of local and western options on the menu, my kids loved ordering lunch and snacks from the restaurant whenever they were peckish. The Paus Putih is within walking distance to Mushroom Beach, local warungs, restaurants and very many massage places, yet it is very private and quiet. For ease I recommend hiring a scooter for your stay which Johannes can help you with. Paus Putih is the perfect place to relax and unwind while also taking in some of the best tropical views and experiences Indonesia has to offer. I highly recommend the Paus Putih.

Nusa Lembongan
This is a little gem on the quiet side of Nusa Lembongan. The huts themselves are traditional but well equipped. Excellent linens and bedding and comfy mattress. Good airconditioning and a mozzie net. Fridge and mini freezer that worked well. The bathroom is a bit rustic but serviceable. The facilities include a cute little infinity pool and shady loungers. The beachfront location is outstanding. 5 steps from the hut to the pool and another 5 to the beach. While it seems isolated there are plenty of restaurants nearby within a short walk. The breakfast provided was ok- simple and tasty. Bring insect spray if you don't like creepy crawlies and a torch for walking around at night as there's limited streetlights.

Breakfast is still quite rich, everything is there, there are several ways to choose eggs, but I still can't eat the same way of eating abroad. The hotel environment is good, there is a swimming pool, not far from the surrounding attractions, the hotel has its own motorcycle to rent, not expensive for a day. The rooms are all detached. It is quite comfortable to take a bath in the open air. It is very comfortable to sleep at night. Lying in bed watching the sea listening to the waves falling asleep, the world is beautiful.
Batu Karang Lembongan Resort & Spa

Nusa Lembongan
Our stay at Batu Karang has been absolutely divine. The hotel grounds and pools are impeccable and the rooms are very well appointed. I recommend booking a room with a private plunge pool if you have the option. We never needed to swim elsewhere having access to this refreshing and completely private oasis. The food at Muntigs and The Deck is lovely (very generous breakfasts). There are also many other dining options nearby (walking distance) and I believe had we been so inclined, we could have ordered delivery from a local Warung. Yes, room service option is nice when you can’t be bothered, but imagining the staff having to deal with the palaver of this based on the geography of the location, I can totally understand why this is not available. Getting to and from the rooms on the steep slope was never an issue for us (two middle-aged, not particularly fit people). The walk down is easy enough, and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a buggy ride back up to our room. We had two massages at Lulur spa and would have had more if not for spending a couple of days off-site exploring Lembongan. Staff were very helpful in arranging buggy hire on two occasions so we could head off to explore the island. Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of photos to share as we were too busy enjoying our exquisite stay. We will be back!

Nusa Lembongan
The scenery is really good, almost all are sea view rooms. Disadvantages: Poor room hygiene, the tabletops are all gray. There was a lot of spider silk in the cabinet. Stayed 2 nights without cleaning. No hair dryer. It is better to choose a bit more expensive, clean and comfortable after all.
