Almare Tourist Motel

We spent 4 nights here while in Ballina. Our room (No 12) had a nice view onto the back garden where we could watch the chickens peck away at the garden. The room was very clean and tidy and well serviced and of a good size. The only negative was that the sliding door into the bathroom had a broken track (missing most of the ball bearings) and wouldn't slide. I found one ball bearing on the track and did a bit of a repair so that it had some sliding motion.
Coast Inn Motel

We stayed here for 2 nights after being rained out while camping in national parks. Our room was very comfortable, and with microwave etc so we could self cater with meals prepared for camping. Undercover parking meant we could dry out our tent etc over the car. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet and we were very pleased with our stay here. Good TV and wifi.
Discovery Parks - Ballina

The room is small, the layout is very unreasonable, the privacy is not very good, the basic facilities are complete, the surrounding environment is very good, just by the sea, even the houses in the nearby residential areas are very beautiful and worth watching.
Lennox Beach Resort
4.3/538 Reviews
We stayed in Unit 30, 2nd floor 2 bed sea view (glimpses). Our unit was very comfortable, great extra large king size bed. Living area had air conditioning while two bedrooms had ceiling fans. The gardens, pool area and hot tub/spa were immaculate. Premises is only one street back from the main Lennox Head shops and restaurants. Fully set up kitchen. NOTE: Each of the units here are separately owned but are managed by the team at the resort so the facilities in each unit can vary.
Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ballina Byron

we booked a river view spa room! the river was in view if you stood to the left of the window that was fine. the aircon was directly over the pillow end of the bed so the cold air blew on your face! the bathroom had two tone walls where the plasterer had fixed cracks but the walls hadnt been painted over in full. the bottom of the shower screen glass had patches of black, mold dirt or whatever. and this palace for the weekend cost $770! yahoo what a deal and breakfast wasnt included.
Richmond Motor Inn

Pretty average rooms in a central location. Room was clean, bathroom ok if a bit dated. There are no onsite staff so don't expect any room service or after hours assistance, especially if you lock your key in the room. No ice in the fridge because it was off on arrival. There is off street parking but NOT undercover. I rated it 4 out of five.
