Zuider Zee Guest House ★★★★
"I had an amazing stay at Zuider zee guest house, Gavin is an excellent host, who ensure the place and its guest are well taken care of and I enjoy the little porch visits from the beautiful cats, he also give great recommendations on sites to see in the salt rock region, I will definitely make a return. "
The Capital Zimbali ★★★★
"A very good surprise to end our South Africa tour. Perfectly located 15km away from Durban airport, Capital Zimbali is a huge, modern and beautiful hotel facing the Indian ocean, with lush garden and massive pools. Bedrooms are very spacious and be very comfortable. We were upgraded to a room facing the ocean with balcony. Good choice of restaurant options though both were very smoky due to poor ventilation system. Very helpful and efficient staff."
Canelands Beach Club ★★★★
"Terrible service received. We waited over an hour for breakfast and when it arrived, the food was cold. Over and above that the bill come inclusive of a service charge, regardless how terrible the service was. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The views are amazing though"
Hampshire Hotel - Ballito ★★★
"When we checked in the room had a terrible musky smell. It seemed to of been water damaged and not properly dried up and cleaned thereafter. We complained to the front desk and were sent to another room with the exact same issue. We complained again and were then sent to a third room but the furniture had water damage, the shower silicone grouting had mould and the toilet didn’t fill up after flushing. Eventually the manager came to us and apologised and arranged for a fourth room which was much better than the first three. One of the nights other guests were drinking and partying till the morning, slamming doors and screaming. The restaurant and bar were extremely quiet and looked extremely dull. The hotel seemed extremely quiet for peak season in an holiday town and now I understand why."
Petite Provence B&B ★★★★
"What a beautiful and amazing French Victorian guest house this is! We were welcomed on 7 June with an extremely helpful young man that helped us park, find reception and helped us with our bags to our room. The lady at Reception is an absolute pleasure to deal with and very welcoming, polite and helpful. She really made our stay feel like home. We were mind blown by the beautiful and stunning honeymoon suite which had a massive dining and lounge area, huge sparkling clean shower and hug shoe bathtub. There is a sparkling clean pool right outside the suite door too, which made the view fantastic! Breakfast was a delight with staff wanting to help you all the way with whatever you need. Lots to choose from, eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, muffins, pastries, cereal, tea, coffee, juices and fruit. From the time we entered till we left, we were treated with such care and respect! I don't normally take time to write long reviews like this, but this beautiful B&B deserves more than 5 stars!! Thank you for a beautiful and welcoming stay! When we are in KZN again, we will definitely be visiting!"
The Saffron House ★★★
"We had a wonderful stay, the hosts accommodated our requests and the place was spotless! I wish we could have spent longer here, but had to return home. They were super friendly and we could come and go as we pleased."
First Group la Montagne ★★★
"The absolute worst place we’ve ever stayed. As a family that travels wide, we couldn’t believe this hotel. Horrible! Mold everywhere in the rooms, water damage on every wall, small room even the 2bedroom, rude staff, This smell of cigarette smoke filling our rooms in the middle of the night from the vents, our keys didn’t work every time we tried to use them, the loud music all day and night, the pool was dirty, the elevator floor feeling like it was going to break through the floor when stepped on. It reminded me of a 1900s pirate ship and smelt like one. DO NOT STAY HERE! Believe when I say to save your money and stay somewhere else."

The Seaglass
"We stayed in the penthouse. Amazing views and beautiful interiors. The hosts Charles and Jacque were very friendly and accommodating. From the homemade biscuits in the room to the lovely breakfasts with the most delicious muesli and fruit bakes and French toast, and the lovely gardens. It was the personal touches that made it such a lovely weekend away. This place is a real gem!"
Sala Beach House
"This hotel is absolutely stunning in decor and location - we loved our room and being right on the beach. Breakfast on the terrace was amazing and all the staff were friendly - it was perfect for a couple of nights rest and recuperation after early morning game drives at a safari lodge. We did feel that the hotel was expensive - you are paying top dollar for the attentive staff and location. The attention of the staff was actually slightly off putting for us - we were asked by multiple staff members several times a day if we were eating in the hotel and felt under pressure to do so. We also only found out at check out that the ‘package’ we had booked included a daily cocktail which it would have been nice to have been told at check in. Would we recommend- probably. Would we stay again - no."
Dolphin Coast Yolo Spaces - the White House Boutique Villa
Zimbali Suite
"This suite was clean, great service from staff. Gate management a bit too much but overall great stay here."
