Dear Khun Ni and your wonderful team, thank you for such a peaceful perfect stay. Every hour with you all was worth 24 hours of relaxation. Pa Sak Tong was beautiful with fantastic facilities for all our family including the pool, gym, magical gardens and stunning views. The food was delicious and so well presented. Above all it was your thoughtful care at every moment that meant the most - taking us on nature walks to explore the stunning setting, washing the elephants, playing rugby and rounders with the children at Bethesda Orphanage, then coming home to your warm smiles and fabulous food. A wonderful family stay which we will always treasure. Very best wishes and thanks to you all. The Blackburns.

How wonderful to be back at Pa Sak Tong after 3 years, it was really just like coming home for me. The staff remembered all my special requests before and had each one set up for me in the villa. The villa and grounds looked amazing and I was able to relax deeply which was much needed after traveling so far under difficult conditions. The villa breathes serenity all around it and just a walk in the grounds is meditative, especially when seated with the stunning koi fish. There are so many special staff I hope I remember them all – Nid the chef was amazing creating incredible organic vegan food for me that was full of fresh flavors and spices but just the way I liked it. She met with me daily to discuss my meals and was always accommodating for any special needs I had. She made a wonderful coconut yogurt that I started my day with full of pro biotics and healthy goodness. Ni, Tai and Pleaw took extra special care of me at the villa. They are the best staff I have ever encountered in a resort in Asia. Not only do they remember and seem to uniquely understand my needs but they always made me feel it was my home I was staying in and they were there to make me as comfortable as possible. Perri is a new addition to the team and she was really incredible. She led me on a rural walk explaining many details about northern Thai life and lots of other interesting facts about the area and plants. She also went to the city with me and took me to some unique shops to get spices and some fun things at the market. John the GM stopped by each day to check in on me and have a chat. I am really so impressed with what he has accomplished at Pa Sak Tong. The resort is actually in better condition than my last visit which is usually the opposite when I travel. I have stayed at most of the so called 5 star properties in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai and nothing compares to what John has created at Pa Sak Tong. I have concluded that there really is no point in going to Chiang Mai anymore as Chiang Rai has everything one needs in northern Thai culture and no traffic jams and noise of the big city which Chiang Mai has really become. I recommended giving it a miss and just going to Chiang Rai – enjoy the real Thailand and go to the best property in Asia at Pa Sak Tong! You will not regret it.

Wow! What a great experience. Our family of 5 stayed at Pa Sak Tong for 4 nights as part of our 2 week+ trip to Thailand. We welcomed the slower pace after spending a similar amount of time in Bangkok and the lush green landscape of the gardens and rice fields. The staff was amazing, attending to our every need starting from when we stepped foot out of the van at the property (each time) - greeting us with cold towels and refreshing drinks. The chef catered meals for the benefit of our vegetarian and pescatarian diets, met us in the local market to shop for our cooking class, and helped us hone our personal cooking skills with various traditional Thai dishes. We were greeted each morning with coffee before breakfast and by the time we wandered back to our rooms after eating they were already clean and made up (sure miss that service at home)! The property itself is quite impressive. The gardens, bamboo and giant ferns are offset in a picturesque backdrop of rice fields. There are various lotus dotted koi ponds on the property that our kids visited multiple times a day. The villa was a great set up for our family allowing everyone to spread out but still remain close unlike a traditional hotel set up. We also felt super comfortable with the kids roaming the estate unattended. We had all the creature comforts we could ask for with pools, a gym, spa, tv (we never turned it on), WiFi, etc. The experience, while a slower pace than Bangkok still offered our adventurous family plenty to do! Perry was fantastic in curating fun filled days to entertain everyone in our family. We did a ‘nature walk’ through the rice fields, a rubber farm, and tea plantation which was a really cool experience. We turned the corner on our hike and the team had set up a rest stop with cold towels and drinks! I ventured back to the tea plantation the next day via mountain bike that the team arranged. We ventured off property for several tours including visiting nearby temples (the white temple is a short drive), an elephant experience, to visit a hill trip orphanage, and to spend some time in town at the markets. The elephant experience and our visit to the orphanage were two of our families favorite parts of our entire trip to Thailand. We really can’t say enough about our time here and how the staff goes above and beyond. Perry heard our son talking about fishing and the next thing we know she has arranged for him to fish with a nearby farmer in his tilapia pond. A seemingly small and uneventful experience for most but one that made his day! It’s that kind of attention to detail and focus on their guests that separate Pa Sak Tong from other options. We wrapped up our stay with a traditional Thai night with dancing and dinner and made wishes while releasing paper lanterns into the night sky. It wouldn’t surprise if one of those wishes was to have the opportunity to return to Pa Sak Tong. We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again s

Our trip to the north this year was extra special, we were extremely pleased to end the trip at Pa Sak Tong, Chiang Rai, wonderful villas in the woods surrounded by vegetation and breathtaking views. Each villa is private, hidden between beautiful nature, rice paddies, lotus ponds, canals and forest, the six villas joined together by a pebbled walkway, everything was designed so perfectly! All the staff was cordial and pleasant, offering the best service all around. We were absolutely blown away! The were professional and hospitable, in Thai and English. We are woken up by a lovely breakfast overlooking a view of the rice paddies, peppered with water buffalos. It was one of the most memorable views from the trip. Khun Perry, our host, graciously gave us wonderful tips on where to go and what to see. On the second day, we had dinner at the restaurant and took a little walk around the site and everything was laid out so perfectly; the wine, the candles, the florals—not too much, not too little. We ended the night with a beautiful Loy Kratong Festival under the full moon and starry night. On the third day we went on a pleasant 2-hour hike and a picnic on Doi Chang, the weather was brisk and beautiful and the hike was lined with trees. Khun Perry then took us to a peaceful bamboo forest at the Doi Chang Buddhist Park to clear our minds. Our last night we went to the Locus Native Food Lab by Chef Kong at Pa Sak Tong, we were so impressed by the quality of food and atmosphere provided to us by the restaurant. Our menu sourced from local and native ingredients, put together in the most thoughtful fashion. I highly recommend booking a meal here when you visit! Pa Sak Tong gave us peace and unmatchable pleasantries that we couldn’t have imagined. It was a warm, inviting, and thoughtful, void of pretentiousness. It was the most wonderful, perfect trip that I would recommend to anyone who visits.

This is our 3rd visit to Pa Sak Tong and we went through a lot of hassle to get here in Covid time but it was totally worth it. It was like coming home when we entered the villa. The staff are like family and remembered all of our needs including my morning coconut before going to the gym. A previous reviewer called the staff angels and they are completely correct because at Pa Sak Tong you feel like you are in heaven! What is amazing is how after 6 years of us visiting the place looks better than the first time. John and his Team put a huge effort into keeping everything beautiful and as there is so much teak wood I can imagine this is a lot of work. The food as always was amazing and chef Nid did her best to give us very interesting tastes of unique northern Thai cuisine. We also dined at Locus Native Food Lab and all I can say is do not miss this opportunity. This is a new addition to Pa Sak Tong, a chef’s table experience and it is completely one of the best dining experiences we have had in Asia. We had some great hikes and loved the views of the endless mountain ranges on the view to Myanmar. Exotic picnics accompanied us up the mountains and with a chilled bottle of wine to enjoy and a cappuccino to follow what more could you ask for! This is the best resort in Thailand by far on so many levels. In our many years of traveling in Asia we have never experienced this level of service or quality anywhere. This is not 5 star it is 7 star in all ways. Thank you John and the amazing Team of angels at Pa Sak Tong for giving us the best holiday so far, we will be back many more times to this amazing property.

I was completely blown away by our three day stay. This 25 acre estate of forest and farmland is completely hidden from the outside world. Inside the resort, the sense of privacy and seclusion is luxurious. We were welcomed by Perry, the AGM, who gave us a warm welcome and introduced the villa and staff. The English speaking staff, lead by Kun Ned, included three waiting staff, a masseuse and a Thai chef trained in French, Italian, Japanese and, of course, Thai food. Our villa was spacious and fabulously decorated with teak finishes and an impressive collection of Thai, Burmese and Chinese antiques and art. The staff, lead by our housekeeper Kun Ned, included three waiting staff, our chef and a masseuse. That evening we enjoyed a superb Thai dinner on the terrace overlooking the paddy fields. The next day, Perry took us for a tour of the resort’s extensive property which include fields of rice and tea, stands of rubber and teak trees and koi ponds. We returned to the villa for lunch featuring a superb risotto and that evening we had dinner at another beautiful pavilion that could have been set in Napa Valley and dined on rack of lamb, accompanied by a lovely Chateau Neuf du Pap. On our third day, Perry took us on a long hike in the mountains that took us to a view point where we enjoyed a picnic lunch. She then took us on a tour of the Sanctuary, a beautiful Buddhist retreat in the national forest. She made special arrangements for us to have dinner at Locus Native Food Lab, a world class fine dining restaurant located at the resort. The chef is a true artist and the wine pairing was excellent. We left with regret. I long suspected there are secret places for the rich and famous. Pa Sak Tong is one of the best.

I’m a jaded traveler and not prone to reviews, but the three days we spent at Pa Sak Tong have shifted my benchmark of a luxury experience. This estate is big and secluded - it’s easy to get lost in the rice paddies and bamboo trees. But it’s the many small details that made the biggest impression….the ponds filled with mature koi (which I learned are bred on the property); the manicured grounds; and impressive art collection. After an amazing lamb dinner in the dining pavilion, which was decked out with flowers and candles and Chinese vases, we were treated to a post dinner surprise of sky lanterns. What a magical experience to light and launch those Thai lanterns! The polished, intuitive and personalized service is where this place really shines with the details. Midway through a morning stroll around the agricultural neighborhood, cold towels and drinks awaited us. When I had iced tea after lunch one day, the servers made sure that ice tea (as well as lime juice and honey!) were available in a picnic lunch at the top of a mountain the next day. They’ve definitely thought through all the details to create a luxury experience, This was a resort experience without the resort. We felt as if we were in an exquisite home of a very wealthy person with incredible taste - Private, personal, and very, very comfortable. This was a 6 star experience that I won’t forget.
