The room was one of their ”top notch” ones. In effect three rooms - a bathroom with a window, a bedroom with a view over the river, and a sitting area with another window looking out over the river. And so one is able to get some proper ventilation which leads to a great sleep especially in a comfortable king size bed. The bar was a comfortable place for a drink. the front of the bar had been recycled from a church and had a wee door where when it was in the church the laird could store a few glasses and a bottle presumably of malt. The restaurant was fabulous - with a lovely view of the river. The dinner menu was great and so we eat in both nights. Breakfast was what one would expect and unhurried.
