Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa

There are many restaurants in the resort and the breakfast buffet is delicious. There is concierge vehicle provided so no need to walk from the resort to lobby and vice versa. The beach is clean as well.

The hotel was definitely on the older side but the overall resort experience was still enjoyable

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. The room was spacious, the beach was clean, and the facilities were enjoyable. The staff provided good service throughout our stay. The only thing that could be improved is that some parts of the resort look a little dated, but everything was clean and well maintained. Still a great place for a relaxing getaway.

Great for families. Room is clean but place esp furniture is dated. Note none of the restaurants are air conditioned! So be prepared to dine in humid conditions altho it’s breezy if your chosen restaurant is next to the beach. Service is not the friendliest at front desk. Everything you ask for - extra room key for 2nd guest or towels comes with a price tag of a deposit. It’s transactional hospitality. Spa facial - one of the worst I’ve come across. Products are warm and smell. The therapist fingers stink of onions and garlic. Yukky.

Buffet breakfast variety was sufficient. Cleaning of tables were fast. Reception staff were friendly. Room is aged in need of upgrading. Musky smell, dim lighting, stairs to bed bit shaking. Shower curtain mouldy. No stopper in sink. Left packet of chips on bedroom table and within mins there was an army of tiny ants. Stayed only 1 night. Didnt use any amenities.

Aircon leaking & not cold. Normal day not bad but public holiday the service very poor.

The resort has a family atmosphere. Pools, beach, birds, golf etc. Lots of things to do. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall good stay.
